Thirty One

Toni Sanchez

"Hello?" I groaned and sat up answering the phone.

"Is this," I heard shuffling. "Mrs. Toni Sanchez?"

I furrowed my eyebrows.

"This is she, may I ask who's calling?"

"This is Nurse Marina; from harbor general in Banning California."

"Uh, Okay?" I asked.

"I was calling to inform you, that a child has been delivered by a Claudia Nelson?" She said.

"What does that have to do with me?" I questioned.

"Well, it appears that miss Nelson has fled the hospital."

I pulled the phone away and threw my head back laughing.

This dumb bitch left the baby at the hospital? Wow.

"I'm seeing here that Miss Nelson listed Eric Sanchez-"

"If it's not my husbands child, I don't want anything to do with the baby." I said.

"But his name is on the birth certificate."

"How is his name on the birth certificate if he wasn't there to sign it?"

"Miss Nelson wrote it." She said.

"I'm sorry," I laughed. "My husband loved to fuck with these stupid ass females."

She giggled too.

"Okay, well I guess I'll contact Banning Police department. You have a good day Miss Sanchez." She said.

"You too." I said before I hung up the phone.

Getting out of bed, I walked out of my room going down stairs and finding Sam.

He was in the kitchen eating a bowl of cereal with Ej and Tavi.

"Good morning baby." He said looking up from his bowl.

"Good morning mommy!" Tavi said.

"Good morning momma." Ej said.

I smiled and walked over to Tavi and kissed her forehead and then kissed Ej's.

"Good morning," I said to them.

Sam scooted his chair back and I sat down in his lap.

"Good morning." I smiled at him.

"You smilin' hella hard." He laughed and looked at me.

I shook my head and smiled.

"Did you guys have fun with Glamma?" I asked looking at Ej and Tavi.

They both nodded their heads.

"Where are the twins? And Tyson and Elijah ?"

"Gloria said she wanna' keep them a lil bit longer, she wanna' give you a break."

I touched my chest.

"And where's my other baby?" I asked looking back at him; talking about Jason.

"I'm going to pick him up from Ronnie later."

I smiled.

"We should take the kids to the zoo."

Their ears perked up and they looked at each other.

"Whoever gets dressed first gets a funnel cake!" Sam shouted.

They both got up from the table and ran out of the kitchen.

I laughed and looked back at him.
