Two weeks later ...

"Tavi please stop running around," I said looking up from my computer.

"Mommy," I looked over at her.

"Yes baby?"

"When is daddy coming home?"

It's been two weeks since I've last seen Eric, when he dropped his bomb and that's the last time I've seen or talked to him.

"Daddy isn't coming home baby." I said sighing.

"He's not? Why not?" She placed her hands on my arm and looked at my screen then back at me.

"He - daddy said he wants time alone, so he's staying with his friend for a while."

"What friend?" We both looked behind us to see EJ.

"I don't know yet baby." I shrugged. "I haven't talked to him."

I knew exactly who he was staying with.

"Do you know if he's still going to come to my basketball game?" Ej asked coming over to the table and sitting down.

"You know your dad isn't going to miss one of your games babe, he'll be there." I ran my hands through his curly hair.

"How come daddy didn't tell us he was leaving?" Tavi asked.

Probably because you'd be asking all these damn questions.

"He didn't tell me either toots." I looked over at her.

She sighed and laid her head on my shoulder.

"You guys hungry?" I looked at both of them.

"Yeah." They both said.

"Okay, go put your shoes on. We're going shopping."

"YAY!" Tavi screamed and ran out of the kitchen.

"Momma, can I get some new jeans?" I looked down at Ej's jeans that were almost too short for him.

My baby, he's growing by the minute.

"Yeah babe, go put on some high tops for the mean time."

He laughed and walked around me.

"Very funny, momma."

I closed my laptop and stood up and went over to my purse in the living room and grabbed my keys off the table.

Soon they both stood at the door waiting for me while I made sure I had everything I needed.

"Here Ej, go get in the truck." I handed him the keys to the range and he grabbed them. "Help your sister get in please."

"Gotchu mom." He said grabbing Tavi's hand and opening the door.

"Daddy!" I whipped around hearing Tavi screaming.

Seeing Eric standing in the doorway made my blood boil but my heart flutter. Tavi and EJ both ran over to him.
