I woke up to the sound of tapping on my window.

"Psst! Sage! Are you up?" A familiar voice spoke softly from outside my window.

"Matty?" I answered groggily, rubbing my eyes, trying to rid myself of sleep.

"Shh!" He answered. "Come open the window."

I yawned as I threw my blankets off, moving to sit up. I cringed as my feet hit the cold wooden flooring.

I stood, stretching my arms before making my way over to the window.

Even though my eyes were still mostly closed, I could see Matty crouched beside my window, standing on the roof below it. He gave me a wide smile, the world still dark around him, stars glistening in the sky still.

"What are you doing here?" I asked sleepily as I opened my window. "It's like, 4 A.M." I stated, glancing over at my electric alarm clock that sat on the nightstand beside my bed.

"I wanted to come watch the sunrise with you." He answered with a soft grin.

"The sun doesn't come up for another two hours, Matty." I crossed my arms, annoyed that he woke me up this early.

His smile fell, realizing that in his eagerness to watch the world wake up, he woke me up as well, way earlier than he should have.

"Oh.." He frowned. "Right... Sorry, Sage. I didn't realize how early it was. I was just so excited to-" He began to ramble on, but stopped himself. "I'll uh- Let you get back to sleep then." He nodded, turning away in disappointment.

I watched as he stopped to pick up some blankets and a basket.

He had brought us blankets and made breakfast for this. I couldn't just let him walk away like that...

"Matty wait." I sighed. He stopped to look at me.

"I'm already awake so I mean you might as well.." I began, but Matty cut me off.

"Say no more." He smiled egarley, practically throwing the blanket and basket into my room through the window. Thankfully is hardly made a noise.

I giggled, watching his tall form struggle to climb in through the window.

"I missed you." He whispered as he enveloped me in his arms.

I was pressed against his chest, my face buried in it. I wrapped my arms around him, holding him in return.

"You saw me like four hours ago." My response was muffled from being pressed against his chest.

"Four hours too many." He sighed, squeezing me a little.

We stood like this for a few minutes, not saying a word.

"You are so beautiful." Matty said as he pulled himself away from me, cupping my face in his hand as he peered down at me.

"Matty I just woke up." I rolled my eyes, knowing how disgusting I more than likely looked.

"You're beautiful every second of every day, but even more so in this moment." He spoke softly, brushing a stray hair back behind my ear. "I love you so much." Matty said more so to himself as he continued to admire me.

I blushed at his words, averting my eyes from his gaze. "Hey..." Matty spoke softly, gently rubbing my cheek with his thumb to get my attention.

"You are the most gorgeous girl I've ever seen. You know that right?" Matty asked, his face and tone turning very serious.

I nodded in response, not really knowing what to say to that.
