I entered the house happy to be home from school. I was more than ready to be reunited with Sage after a long painful day apart.

"Sage! Indigo! I'm home!" I called, tossing my backpack to the side before closing the front door behind me.

There was no response.

"Sage?" I called, walking into the living room before checking the kitchen. She wasn't there, no one was.

"Anybody home?"

"Tate?" Sage's mom, Renee, spoke sleepily as she entered the room.

"Renee? Where's Sage?" I asked in confusion.

"Last I saw, she was upstairs folding baby clothes. Is she not there still?" She asked, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

I felt so bad for Renee. She would take care of Sage for me while I was away at school, and it was evident that it was taking a toll on her due to the bags under her eyes.

"Well your car is gone, so I'm assuming no." I answered, watching as Renee's eyes grew wide.

"I was taking a nap, so I must've not heard her leave." Renee explained.

I shook my head, "Don't worry about it." I said, "Go get some rest. I'll go and find her."

"Are you sure?" She asked, "I can go with you. Two people looking is better than one."

"No, no." I shook my head. "I'll take care of it, you need to rest. Thank you for all your help, Renee, now go back and get some sleep." I instructed with a smile. I was trying my best to remain calm in-front of her despite how worried I was, knowing it was best to let her get some more sleep.

Renee gave me a nod before walking back into her bedroom, closing the door behind her.

Panic began to fill my body as I feared the worst. Where could she have gone? Was she okay? She didn't... hurt herself did she? I know she'd been having a hard time, but I never thought it was bad enough to push her towards... No. I knew Sage would never do that, especially not when she was still pregnant with Indigo.

I made my way out the front door, closing it behind me before I began running down the sidewalk, letting my instincts take over.

Tears began to form in my eyes as I ran; my heart racing and blood pumping.

I just hoped Sage and Indigo were okay, where ever they may be.
