14. Nostalgia

Amara

I am already lost. While Four claims my lips, he takes along with it my sanity. I know that it's wrong but even when I try, I just cannot get out of his spell. He is driving me insane. When he pulls away to tease my yearning for his kisses, I gasp but before I could open my eyes, he already claims my lips once again, sending burning sensation throughout my veins. When I feel his hands under my shirt, I am taken back to the real world and thankfully, I manage to push him away.

"You..." I cannot look at him in the eye. What a stupid creature you are, Amara. "You should go." I finish my sentence.

"Mara." As I look up to him, his countenance is designed with his annoying smirk. "I'm not going anywhere."

"Don't piss me off." Mabilis na napalitan ng inis ang nararamdaman ko para sa kanya kanina. "Ba't ba ang aga mong nandito? Mamaya pa natin susunduin si Darryl."

"Chill, babe." Is all he musters and he then dives on my bed. "Wake me up when you're ready to go."

"Smug. Get out of here." Sabi ko sabay hampas sa kanya ng unan.

"Amara. Let me sleep or I'll spend the rest of the day kissing you." Pananakot niya habang nakapikit parin. Napakagago talaga ng kumag at ako naman, nagpapakatanga. Ugh. 

Ano'ng ginawa mo Amara? Did you just ask him to kiss you? Stupid!

Nag-ayos nalang ako kahit alam kong maaga pa para umalis kami at sunduin si Darryl. But it's much better than to have him in my room. The pressure is quite intense here.

"Hey." Tawag ko para gisingin ang kumag. "You are not sleeping. Don't fool me, Palmer."

"Ang aga pa, Mara." Sagot niya na nakapikit parin ang mga mata.

"May bibilhin ako sa mall. Hindi mo ba ako sasamahan?" Pagsisinungaling ko. I am desperate to get him out of my room.

"No." He answers to piss me off.

"Fine." I murmur. I fake-dial Ethan's number. Like I expect, the moron peeps at me with one eye slightly opened. "Ethan?" Sambit ko kahit wala naman talaga akong kausap. Naglakad ako papunta sa pinto. "Can you accompany me to the mall?"

Napatawa ako nang malingunan ko siyang bumangon agad, masama ang tinging pinupukol sa'kin. Napilitan siyang sumunod at lumabas ng kwarto ko. He's not getting in there again. Wala ng katangahang mangyayari ulit Amara. Wala na. Maghunos-dili ka Amara.  Don't underestimate the Palmer's charm. It casts spell that is hard to break out from. You've seen it so many times and mostly, you end up crying.

"Ano ba'ng bibilhin mo?" Pabagsak ang tono na itinanong niya.

"None of your business." Sagot ko nalang. Wala akong maisip na idahilan e. Ano nga bang bibilhin ko do'n? "Ah. Dumiretso nalang kaya tayo sa paaralan ni Darryl?"

"No." He declares. "I'm curious of what you're getting at the mall."

"Hindi na nga lang ako bibili. I'll just get it some other time." I alibi and the jerk just throws me an austere look. He's not buying my reasons. "Four, dumiretso na tayo sa paaralan ni Darryl." Pag-uulit ko.

Instead of answering me, he turns on the radio and bombards the air with rock music. Calm down Amara. Let it go and ignore him.

Ignore him? That is just so hard to do!

"We're here babe." He announces with a smirk when we're at the basement of the mall already. I have to think of something to buy. Right now, there's none that I can think of. But Four Palmer's middle name is persistent so I am currently letting him wear a face mask and a cap. They're mine by the way.
