Amara

The following weeks go by so fast. I lose track of time. I just really enjoy every moment of everyday with my little princess and her annoyingly flirt daddy. If things are going the same path as before, I don't know if I'll be able to stand up again if I stumble. Four means everything. He always does but this time, it's for a million times more.

My students for the music lesson are not around for the day. Bored for being alone at home, I decide to make a run around the subdivision. With Four's voice filling my ear as his songs are on my playlist, I enjoy the jogging I do. Good thing I notice the time and I quickly rush back to the house when I see that Darryl's class will end in about half an hour.

"Hi!" A tall masculine guy approach me before I could open our gate. "Are you new here? I haven't seen you around before." I take off the other earphone on my ear and face the person formally.

"Yes. Yes. I mean, we moved in about two months ago." I answer civilly.

"The subdivision's park is nice but I love to jog around here." He says, making me look at his outfit. It shows; he jogs.

"Oh. Ah, yeah. I've been there a few minutes ago."

"Anyway, I'm Owen. You are?"

I am not able to answer him because I flinch in surprise by a sudden honk of a car—of Four's car. He quickly climbs out from it, staring sharply at the guy who's smiling at me.

"Hi babe." Four greets me and kisses me quick on the lips as soon as he reaches me. "You are?" He turns to the guy while he snakes his arm around my waist.

"Ah. Owen. I'm Owen." Pagpapakilala ng lalaki. "Are you guys—"

"Married?" Luh. Hindi man lang pinatapos. "Yeah. We are. We just moved in. Are you from the neighborhood?"

"Yes. It's nice to meet you, man. You are a lucky dude. You have a gorgeous wife."

"I sure do." Four arrogantly mutters with a smirk worn on his lips.

"I—I gotta go. Nice to meet you again."

"I can't say the same." Four whispers to himself but I am still able to catch it.

When the guy finally is out of our sight, Four shifts his mood quickly too. He even leaves me outside as he walks in the house. Ugh. Please don't tell me I have to explain myself over something I did not do. Tsk.

"Four—"

"What was that?" He blares at me, making me jump at the volume of his voice.

"What? What's what?" I ask after composing myself, feeling annoyed at his over-reaction.

"Who was that?"

"Owen?" He raises his brow and it's not a good sign. "I don't know. He's from the neighborhood. Didn't you hear him say that?"

He tsks me as he turns his back on me. I follow him to our room.

"Four. I seriously don't know the guy! Why are you not talking to me properly?"

"Why are you talking to him anyway?" He snaps back.

"So I'm not allowed to talk to anyone now?" I mutter sarcastically out of frustration.

"The jerk is flirting with you!"

"He is only just talking to me!" I correct his choice of word. "The person's just being nice. What's your problem?"

When he walks toward the balcony extended to our room, I let him there alone to give him space. But when he doesn't return even after five minutes, pinuntahan ko na siya. Niyakap ko kaagad siya mula sa likuran nang makalapit na ako para suyuin siya at nang matigil sa pagseselos.
