Amara
As promised, Four and I take our daughter out the very day after the recital. We buy a lot of stuff on her request, mostly toys and dresses. Four doesn't say no to his daughter and even if I raise a protest, it will just go to vain. Masyado niyang inii-spoil ang anak namin e.
"Mommy! Let's play!" Darryl happily cheers as we pass by a recreational and amusement center. She even drags me inside and only stops when we're in front of the Dance Arcade. My cheeks are heating up.Even without checking, I'm sure Four is grinning at me right now.
"So that's why huh?" Four muses with a smirk. I only glare at him.
"Baby, dad is really good at that. Why don't you two play and I'll be the referee?"
"Whoa. Really?" She exclaims adorably. "I bet daddy's scared to lose."
Oh gracious. Manang-mana talaga. Muntik na akong makapag-face-palm. Hindi ko inexpect na sasabihin niya 'yon.
"Who's scared, babylove?" Her arrogant father replies. "Bring it on." He roars after stepping on the machine.
"Just to make it fair for you, you choose the song." My daughter arrogantly mutters. She's smirking too! I can only shake my head in disbelief while watching them in their replicated arrogance.
I know Four just let our daughter win but honestly even if he gives his best, Darryl can still outplay him. She AAAed all the songs in the arcade. Every weekend, when it's our mother-daughter day, we always drop by to play. She's even better than me—way too better.
"Wow. Ang galing ng baby ni dad. You've trained your mom so well." Pahaging ni Four na inirapan ko.
"Mom never wins against me. But sometimes, I let her win."
Ah. What? Ang yabang. Haha.
While I continue tickling her, she squeals and laughs and everyone in the center looks at us with amusement. "Manang-mana ka sa daddy mo sa kayabangan. Sos. Ikaw'ng bata ka."
"I'm raising a white flag!" She shouts. "Stop it mommy!" Tumatawang sigaw niya. "We should get out of here. Everyone's looking at you, daddy." My daughter whispers and as I look around to check, she's indeed telling the truth.
"Now where to, munchkin?" Four asks her sweetly when we vacate the center.
"Jollibeeeeeee!" She exclaims in pure happiness.
"Jollibee it is then!" Four muses. "I love you, little bean."
"I love you dad." She replies, kissing Four on the cheeks repeatedly. "I'm so happy today daddy. I'm always happy when I'm with you and mom."
Naluha ako habang pinapakinggan siya. Her innocence is melting my heart.
"Maupo na kayo ni daddy, ako na ang mag-order." I tell them when we're in the place. Four only leaves with our daughter after kissing me on the cheek.
"Thank you mommy." He whispers and Darryl tells me the same thing.
The kid's mom is all smiles while she takes a photo of her kid with Four and Darryl.
