"And she lives," Kameron held his arms in the air dramatically as I walked out behind Eli. I laughed as he hopped off the hood of Levi's truck, which was pulled in next to Eli's car, to walk over and examine my cut. I still hadn't seen myself yet, I could only hope that Eli had done a good job, and I didn't look like a complete psycho path.

"Barely," I smiled a tired smile as he held my face in his palms turning my head from side to side to look it over.

"I didn't hear any screaming or crying, did you knock her out before you started?" Levi looked at Eli who was leaning against his car with his arms crossed.

"No," I looked up to make sure I caught his response. His eyes rolled over me from head to toe as he spoke to Levi. "She didn't need it, she's tough as nails."

Levi who was looking at Eli turned to look at me as if checking to see if it were true. After he looked at me thoughtfully for a moment, a more engraved look fell on his face, and again a swell of pride welled up in my chest. If I could impress these guys, who seemed to be the most hot headed, toughest guys in town, I could do anything!

Or at least, that's how it felt. It was such a good feeling to have them on my side.

"You hear that, baby" Kameron turned to face the boys as he threw an arm over my shoulders. "You're as tough as nails." He said joyfully.

Eli's eyes hardened. "We should get her home. Levi follow me in her car, I'm going to drive her to her house. I don't want her fainting while she's behind the wheel." He sounded annoyed.

"Already??" Kameron pouted.

"Get in," Eli ignored him and jerked his head to the side at me. Levi straightened up and headed for my car which I assume was outside.

"I'm fine, I can drive." I said feeling a little embarrassed and annoyed to hear him talking about me as if I weren't here. He was looking at me with no emotion, then raised a brow at me as if to say, 'did you not just pass out not once but TWICE tonight? And on top of that you may have a concussion.' Okay Eli... DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO BE RIGHT?

He walked around to the passenger door to open the door for me, "get in," he said again in his deep, unarguable tone.

Okay.

Yeah.

No matter how irritating he was, that unarguable tone was always a turn on. He was definitely a man, and a man that knew what he wanted. He didn't act like a normal teenage boy.

I shrugged out from under Kameron's arm and strutted to the passenger side. I heard Kameron grunt before he called to me, "fine, bye baby. Don't get into anymore fights, okay? At least not with out me there." I could hear the crooked grin on his mouth.

I was looking at Eli as I spoke, "no promises." He raised a brow and I noticed a small grin he couldn't stop from pulling at his lips. I had a wicked smile to match his as I turned to wink at Kameron, "bye Kam." He laughed and waved when I climbed into the car and let Eli shut the door after me.

We left Kam staring after us with a big confident smile as we pulled out of the garage. He thought he was about to reel me in like a fish on a hook, and I mean if I would've been any other girl, he would be right. But growing up with the dad I had and an older brother who now fills those shoes, there was no way I would fall that easy. They set high standards for me, giving me those high standards for anyone who came my way.

Even without my dad and brothers influence, I was naturally hard to get through to. I didn't believe in shallow relationships, if you wanted to get to know me you had to REALLY get to know me. I didn't make it easy, but I definitely made it fun.
