It's been two months since Dan and the others reunited. Within that time not much has happened...but a lot has changed. Instead of Ralph coming to the set every now and again for support, Dan's old band friends visit every single day. And as for Charlie...she's just happy that her boyfriend is happy.
"I think Charlie needs a change of wardrobe...don't you think?" Aubrey's voice trails off while she tilts her head in Charlie's direction, letting out a puff of smoke like a ferocious dragon.
Dan, who now vapes, then looks in direction of his girlfriend who is talking to Howie. Dan can't help but smile, she always looks so caught up in the moment talking about her character. "Why?" Dan asks.
"Her top is riding up her bump if you look close enough. She's like a pregnant, but self conscious, version of Britney Spears." Dan looks at Charlie's blossoming baby bump and rolls his eyes. Her bump pushes against the silk of her pink long sleeved shirt, which was fairly baggy last month. However, the buttons are tight, despite Charlie not being as big as other pregnant woman considering she's a little over eighteen weeks. Every time she stretches, even the slightest of movements, the shirt rises upwards revealing more of her bare bump.
"Nah. She looks fine." Dan rolls his eyes at Aubrey's melodrama.
"When are you two going to move in?" They haven't been dating for all that long. Both Dan and Charlie have said that even when the baby arrives they're going to take things nice and steady. Dan can visit every day...until the baby is old enough not to rely food from Charlie.
"Probably sometime next year, you know?" Aubrey's eyes widen.
"You're going to be a father...and you're not going to live under the same roof as your baby? You legitimately have no reason not to. Charlie idolises you!" Dan shrugs his shoulders back before taking another deep breath of the watery nicotine substitute.
"I know...I know..." Dan smiles before shrugging. He doesn't find it a big deal.
"Me and Charlie are still a new relationship and we don't want to rush ourselves." Aubrey immediately scoffs, while Dan relates what he has said wrong. But it's too late to backtrack now...
"Rush yourselves? Dan, you and Charlie are fucking parents!" Dan rolls his eyes backwards.
"I think we're aware of our daughter." With that Aubrey holds her mouth in shock. She's feeling her age for once.
"D-daughter?" She stutters with a smile while Dan nods his head. They found out when she turned seventeen weeks, since then they've been telling people very slowly. To Charlie's request Aubrey is the last person to know about the sex of their bundle of joy.
"Sorry..." Aubrey tearfully sniffs while she holds the cigarette away from her face and dries her eyes with the back of her hand.
"I can't believe I'll witness two generations of Everett women grow up." Dan nods his head, even though he wants to say that his daughter will be a Smith.
"Charlie didn't want you to know, and to be honest I don't know why I'm telling you. I saw the video you sent Charlie. I can't get those shitty things you said to Joe out of my head, you know?" Aubrey wants to laugh at Dan, but she knows that she can't act like that anymore.
She doesn't want to ruin another guy's life for her personal gain. That isn't right.
"Is that your way of telling me not to buy a gift with a pink bow?" Dan nods his head a little while he watches Charlie realise that her bump is slightly showing again, she pulls the shirt down and tucks it into her leggings.
"Since you told me something...it's only right if I tell you something in return." Aubrey almost whispers while a crew member walks out of the studio doors, which are behind them. Both Dan and Aubrey stand to the side, facing the bright sun.
"Tell me what?" Dan asks looks at her interested.
"Tiffany Everett is back on the scene again. She's came to the set multiple times to see Charlie, I had to get security last time..." Dan's eyes widens as he remembers Charlie's mother.
"Seriously?"
Aubrey takes her final puff before throwing the cigarette to the floor. "She wants contact with Charlie...something about making up for lost time. I wouldn't trust her on anything she sagas I hired a private investigator a few years back to follow her and what she does is criminal." Dan laughs at the thought of Tiffany being criminal.
"Doesn't she work in a book shop?" Aubrey nods her head although she clearly doesn't want to.
"She abandoned her daughter for men, money, and drugs. Just because she now owns a bookstore with that filthy money doesn't mean she's a good person."
"I wasn't insinuating that she's a good person."
Aubrey shrugs her shoulders back. "Protect Charlie and your daughter, Dan. It's all In going to say. Her mother is a disgrace." Dan nods his head while Aubrey walks towards the outside set.
He knows that Charlie deserves the world...and maybe her mother is trying to stop that?
