The 'courthouse' is pretty grim. Although there's several other weddings waiting to take place...everyone doesn't look happy...nor are they in a 'happy' mood. The people who're people surrounding them are in mourning, waiting for divorces to be filed, or in a shit ton of debt.

But Charlie and Dan are completely ecstatic.

Of course Charlie and Dan has stocked to their promise of not seeing each other. Charlie has somehow managed to stay out of Dan's sights for all of the morning. Getting to the courthouse was the 'fun' part, considering she didn't know where she was going.

But they're both here now, ready to commit to one another.

"Where are you both?" Dan asks while he leans against the wall, little goes he know that behind the brick wall is Charlie. She more or less is resting in the exact same place, the only difference is that she multitasking because she's holding her little girl as well as the phone.

"I'm not sure." She admits with a smile.

"You know what the most torturing thing about this is?" Dan asks while he watches a family in the background celebrate adoption.

   "What?" Charlie asks.

"Not that I miss you or anything...I miss Lace." Surprisingly Charlie is in awe, she knows that Dan means nothing to her than Lacey, she's expect Dan to feel the same way. While they're not the best parents...they still are pretty great.

Charlie looks down and smiles at Lacey who is babbling to herself. "Can you make out any words that she's saying? I swear she's trying to say 'love you'." Obviously babies can't talk, and it's sadly in Charlie's head, but Dan doesn't refuse to listen to the impossible.

He just wants to hear the sound of his daughter.

"Speak to dada..." Charlie coo's whilst holding her phone besides Lacey's face.

"Lace...why have you gone quiet?" Dan laughs when he hears Charlie trying to get Lacey to talk.

Dan rolls his eyes backwards while he listens to Charlie more or less trying to get their daughter to make sounds. "What you wanna tell me then?" Dan shyly whispers into the phone. Lacey's eyes widen at the sound of her father's voice, but she cannot see him.

"Lacey?" Dan cheerfully whispers as he admittedly feels stupid.

But then she squeals...before continuing to make a bunch of random noises.

"Very interesting..." Dan helplessly smiles as he imagines her staring at him with her wide blue eyes and pale smile.

"Yeah...she's bored now." Charlie loudly says over a bust up between cops and a groom, who looks completely out of his head.

"You're close!" Dan almost shouts while he looks around. He can hear the echo of the bust up on the phone.

"Just stay where you are, okay?"

Dan smiles before he stops flickering eyes from left to right, he cannot wait to see his girls again. "Later on today at the premiere of whatever...we should tell people about us...about Lacey." Charlie who originally wanted the world to know about their growing shakes her head, though Dan can't see.

"The world will judge us, you know that right? We've known each other barely one year and we're already parents and married..." and for a second Dan doesn't care what anyone thinks of his life. As far as he is concerned it's no one's problem.

   It's his life.

"Dan Smith and Charlie Everett!" The receptionist announces over the speaker. "Oh my god..." Charlie nervously laughs.

"Should I go in first?" Dan asks.

"Yeah..." Charlie whispers while Dan stops slouching from the wall and walks towards the main room, since it's the room the wedding ceremonies have been held in all morning.

"See you in a second" He shyly smiles before hanging up the phone and putting it in his pocket and walking into the room where the marriage officiator stands.

The marriage officiator doesn't say anything, he already knows that there's no witnesses and it will take a couple of minutes since they haven't prepared their vowels. Well, at least that's what Charlie and Dan told the receptionist.

Dan then awkwardly feels the need to explain about Charlie's absence, but the door opens up behind them and Charlie awkwardly pushes herself in with a smile on her face.

"This Jewish guy gave me a glass of wine! I love that guy!" Charlie snorts whilst holding the glass up in the air.

Dan shakes his head with a smile and admires Charlie in her dress. He's never seen Charlie willingly wear a light coloured dress before, other than the flowery blue one that she was pretty much forced to wear to the fancy hotel.

"Shall we begin?" The officiator unenthusiastically asks as Charlie and Dan both shyly nod their heads. They've been waiting for this moment for their entire lives...
