"I need food!" Charlie shouts at the top of her voice the second they set foot into Dan's apartment.

"I don't have-" Dan get's cut off by Charlie slamming the fridge door in protest, before angrily rummaging around in his cupboards.

"I swear to god Chrissy thinks I'm a whale." Charlie has zero chill. The actual dinner was hell for her. When Chrissy served the dinner not only was Charlie's meal different from the rest, but it was ridiculously smaller.

"She wouldn't." Dan says trying to keep a straight face. But Charlie stops in her place and slowly turns around, her eyes see nothing but red right now.

"Five carrots and shedded up chicken. It's fucking inhuman" Charlie loves her food. And all the other guys know not to mess with her food, so while the ladies had a conversation...Charlie kept staring at them psychotically. None of them said anything which angered her, so they all laughed at her expense.

"She's a nutritionist...maybe all the shit you've been eating is bad?" Charlie laugh in disbelief that Dan would call her out, especially on something that he doesn't 'know'. Charlie knows her body and she knows what's good for her and what's not.

Dan doesn't see when Charlie is avidly researching pregnancy at a stupid time in the morning. She's well aware of her food limits.

"She has my metabolism. Skinny sadly runs in her genes. You're a skinny bastard too." Dan rolls his eyes back.

"We're both aware that I wasn't...'skinny'...when I was younger. That's why I think you should cut down on the food, for her sake..." Charlie shrugs.

"So what? She likes food. She literally kicks me when she is hungry." Dan tuts before looking away with a sigh.

"She hasn't stopped kicking me all night. She's making me feel dizzy and a little sore actually." Charlie says while she tries to gulp down a sudden sick feeling.

"Sometimes when I was younger I wished that my mum didn't give into me wanting more food. That was the start of a downfall..." With that Charlie yawns. She's heard Dan's 'sob story' a million times now, each as painfully boring as the time before.

Surprisingly, Dan isn't offended, in fact Charlie's truthful ways is what humours him the most. Charlie isn't afraid to speak her mind...even if that means taunting her boyfriend who's past is 'pretty average'. Dan was a big guy who got skinny because of peer pressure, according to Charlie it 'happens all the time', of which she is right to a certain extent.

"So what you was a little bigger when you was older? You was cute...like I would've totally dated you then..." Charlie's voice trails off while Dan helplessly smiles shaking his head. He thinks she's bullshitting now, but he can't be sure...

Charlie never lies.

"You was a healthy baby. Are you forgetting that your mum showed me nearly all of your baby photos?" Dan rolls his eyes backwards as he suddenly feels strange talking about his past.

"Dan. Do I have permission to call up the Chinese...and get a shit load of food?" — before Dan can say anything Charlie cuts him off — "Because, I am not a fucking rabbit. Nor is your daughter. We will not, cannot, and won't live off of carrots and chicken." Dan shrugs, but he has a small smile planted on his lips. He can't help it. Charlie is stubbornly beautiful.

He gives in and nods his head, although Charlie wants actual confirmation.

"Do what you want. I've got a half marathon coming up...so I don't want, or need, anything." Charlie rolls her eyes backwards.

"No wonder why you don't want anything. You had the biggest fucking plate! All the pork and all the...gravy...and the roast potatoes...the Yorkshire puddings..." Charlie hormonally tears up thinking about how delectable Dan's roast dinner looked.

Her mouth was watering the entire time.

"Charlie...no..." Dan tries not to laugh while he sees a single tear roll down her incredibly pale cheek, although Dan doesn't notice since they've yet to even turn on the gold lamp.

"Don't cry over food again. Remember what happened last time." The last time Charlie cried over food was when she wasn't even pregnant. Dan refused to get a takeaway and she cried until Dan gave in.

Charlie then leans over to get the takeaway menus from out of the kitchen drawer, but the dizziness gets the best of her. She wearily holds her head while the room spins around her, she feels like she needs to sit down and rest her head against something.

"I'm scared." Dan jokes while admiring Charlie, who is leaning over in front of Dan.

"You've never been this quiet." Dan laughs again at his own joke, any second now he expects Charlie to burst out laughing and call him a 'cunt', or some other rude word...

   But she doesn't.

Within seconds the dizziness isn't the only problem. A horrible pain vibrates up the side of her large baby bump. The pain feels something like how a 'lightning bolt' looks like. Sudden, sharp, and absolutely painful. Charlie helplessly yells out in pain as the same thing happens again...but this time it's more unbearable.

"Shit!" Dan shouts while Charlie collapses to the floor. She hasn't passed out thankfully, although all of a sudden she just became very weak. Dan dives onto the dirty kitchen floor and scoops her up in his arms. He tries reassuring her that it's okay, he tells her to take a deep breath...but Charlie's yelling turns into screaming as the pain intensifies...

These aren't the screams of someone in labour. They resemble actual screams of someone getting murdered.

"What's happening!" He shouts while trying to roll up her top in a panic. He doesn't know what to do. He doesn't know why he's rolling her top up...he just needs to examine her stomach for himself.

Charlie feels as if her whole stomach is going to sudden slit open and her insides will fall out. There's nothing that she can do is just scream through it.

Dan then comes to his senses and quickly takes his phone out of his pocket and dials 999 while he holds the side of her stomach, hoping at they'll both make it through the agony. However, when it comes to answering the operators questions about Charlie's current state he messes up several times.

He's by her side the whole time...
