My other books are better I swear 😔✋

John hummed as he walked into the cafeteria and sat next to his best friend, Alexander.

"Hey, Jack. What's for lunch today?" Alexander asked, grabbing John's lunch box.

"Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich, Pringle's, and a granola bar." He said, letting Alex have his lunch.

John was very small, in both height and weight. He weighed about 102 pounds and was only 5'4. He played soccer and tried to exercise regularly. He really wanted to do cheerleading but he knew his father would never let him do it.

As Alex started to devour John's lunch,  John asked him a question. "Do you wanna stay the night tonight?" He asked, their other friends chatting to one another around the table.

Alex nodded. He didn't mean to take John's food, he was just hungry. He didn't get to eat much at home and John always offered him his lunch. He did feel bad sometimes and offer John it back only for John to reply with "no, you should have it. I'm not hungry anyways." Eventually, Alexander Just gave up.

John smiled a bit and nodded, taking out his sketch book and drawing a bird from memory.

Alex chatted with Lafayette and Hercules. John just drew. Drawing was his safe place. It was like his diary. He drew his feelings and it helped him.

Alex, on the other hand, wrote when he was stressed. He would finish every assignment in a matter of an hour if he was angry or stressed. He loved to write and could do it for hours on end.

When school ended that night, John walked outside to his car, getting in and starting it. He got on his phone for a few minutes until Alex came in.

John gave him a smile and put his seat belt on, putting the car in drive. "Are we going straight to your house or to mine first?" He asked, starting to move out of the school.

Alex was on his phone. "Uh, my house first so I can get some clothes. Can I just stay the whole weekend?" He asked, looking over at John.

John nodded. "Sure. You know my parents don't care." He replied. Alex usually did anyways. He practically lived at his house anyways.

Alex just nodded, setting his phone down. "How was your day?" He asked. Alexander has a drivers license but he didn't have a car. John took him to and from school everyday because he despised riding the school bus.

John shrugged. "It was okay. I got an A on my history test." He replied, stopping at a stop sign. "How was yours?" He asked back.

Alex just gave a hum. "It was amazing. I won the debate against Jefferson today and I got a 6 on my essay! And the teacher said she didn't even think she write that well!" He exclaimed, sighing happily.

John smiled and nodded a bit, admiring his friend. He had had a bit of a crush on Alexander for quite a while- since before he even dated Francis, who he dated in eighth grade- But Alexander was straight.

Well, he never said he was straight but he also never came out as gay. Plus, Alex had only ever told John about having an interest in was female. John just kept his feelings to himself though. No one knew about his feelings or anything.

John always believed he was good at hiding things. He always hid stuff. Like his depression, suicidal tendencies, love, etc. John was practically a big book of secrets. His depression wasn't near as bad as before and his suicidal tendencies had gone down a lot in the past year, though.

"That's amazing, Alexander." John said, smiling to him as he turned.

"Yeah! This year has just been amazing!" Alexander replied with a happy sigh.

John nodded a bit. "You did get a full ride to the college of your choice." He reminded, humming a bit.

Alexander nodded. "And I get to go there with my best friend." He added, looking over at John.

John nodded a bit. "And so do I." He remarked, pulling into Alexander's drive way.

Alexander unbuckled and got out, rushing inside and grabbing his clothes. He really had no idea about how bad John was doing. He always seemed happy to him.

He also didn't know about John's feelings towards him. He knew John was gay and he didn't mind that one bit. He was actually questioning himself.

He wanted to experiment a bit.

And he decided John would be the best person to do that with.
