Over the course of two months, Alex had almost completely cut off John, Lafayette, and Hercules. He spent all of his time with Thomas and his friends.

Needless to say, John was extremely upset by this. He was in a worse place then ever before.

Lafayette and Hercules were just angry at Alexander. Him cutting them out made them more angry than sad and it just sucked.

When John had picked himself back up after Alex left, he felt more... empowered. He felt that he really needed to do what was best for him, so he applied to a new college.

He applied to Rhode Island School of Design, only the best art school in the United States.

Of course, he didn't tell his parents he applied, knowing his dad would be angry and would yell at him.

John has just gotten home on Monday afternoon. He didn't have soccer practice because it had rained all day so he was the only one home.

He grabbed the mail and went inside, looking through it.

Finally, a yellow package with the name John Laurens written on it showed. John opened the package immediately, reading the piece of paper.

John skimmed the paper, just reading the word accepted before screaming and jumping.

"Oh my god! Oh my god!" He yelled, wearing a bright smile.

He couldn't believe it. He couldn't believe they thought he was good enough to go to this amazing school.

He hummed and dumped everything else in the packet on the counter, looking through it.

He was very happy.

Later that night, as John was getting ready for bed, still very happy and unable to wipe the smile from his face, his phone started to ring.

He looked at the contact and furrowed his eyebrows.

Alex the phone read.

John hesitated a moment to answer. He had just started to get over him and was scared to answer, though something inside him told him too.

He answered soon. "Hello?" He asked, biting his lip anxiously.

John heard a voice sob from the other end of the phone. "Jack- oh Jack. Pl-please... I-I need yo-you." He cried, his voice shaky.

"Alex, what's wrong?" John asked, standing up and grabbing his car keys, walking down to the front door, grabbing a coat and umbrella since it was still raining.

"J-Just hurry.." Alex sobbed. John walked out to his car.
