Alexander had fallen asleep in John's bed.

The two had finished having their benefits and Alex started crying.

He started crying over Thomas.

John just held him and told him it would all be okay.

He told him he would find someone who loves him as much as he loved Thomas.

Though deep down, John knew he was the one who loved Alex that much.

He knew he was the person he was talking about.

Alexander eventually fell asleep, turnt towards the wall.

John lay next to him, staring up at the stars on his ceiling.

He watched them, imagining they were moving across the room.

He listening closely to the bird chirping outside his window and the faint sounds of Alexander breathing so calmly.

John moved from his bed to the window, looking out of it.

He saw a family of birds sitting in a nest.

They looked happy.

They looked care free.

He wished he could live like that.

He wished he could live without a worry in the world.

But sadly, his world was full of worry.

A lot of worry.

He worried about his mom, as she had been getting sick lately.

He worried about college, knowing his father would murder him for not going to Kings.

He worried about Lafayette and Hercules. No particular reason, he just worried about them a lot.

And he worried about Alex. He worried he would end up hating him if he knew his feelings. He worried he would hurt him.

Though it seemed he had already done that.

But just like a cigarette, John would keep forgetting. He'd keep killing him self, even though he knew the affects.

He watched as the mother bird flew away, leaving the kids to defend for themselves until her arrival.

He wondered if the birds ever worried about her never coming back. He wondered if they were afraid of being left alone.

He knew it was silly, but John envied the birds.

He envied being able to fly away from every problem.

He wished it was that easy.

He wished he could leave all his problems behind.

He wished he was a bird.
