Graduation was soon.

Stress was really hitting John.

He had been slacking since his mothers death and now he had three weeks to get his four F's up to C's, or he would fail senior year.

John was at the lunch table, his laptop on the table, working on an essay for English.

John wasn't the best writer and never was good at it.

He could get his point across but that was about it.

Alexander, who was sitting next to John, whined when John wasn't paying him any attention.

"Jacky!" He mumbled, laying his head on the others shoulder.

John huffed. "Alex, I need to get this done." He mumbled, continuing his typing.

Lafayette bit his lip as he watched. "John, don't you think you need a break?" His thick accent spoke, causing John to sigh.

"I do need one but I don't have time to. Graduations soon. I've got to get this done." He muttered.

"But, John-" Alexander started Before John cut him off.

"I need to get this done so I can go to Rhode Island." John told Alexander.

Alexander just huffed and stood up, pushing his chair in angrily. "Whatever." He muttered before walking off.

John watched and frowned, hesitating before going back to his work.

He just... needed to get that done.

He wrote about two lines before he left, needing to check on Alex.

He walked to the boys restroom in the hallway, looking under for legs.

He saw Alexander's shoes in the farthest stall.

John sighed and knocked on the door.

"Taken." Alexander mumbled.

John sighed. "Let me in, please..." he mumbled.

Alexander hesitates before unlocking the door, sitting back in his spot.

John joined him and locked the door.

"You shouldn't be mad at me. You never listen to me when I ask you to stop working on assignments that won't be due in months. I have a short amount of time to get a hell of a lot done." John started.

Alexander scoffed. "So you came in here to tell me I should pity you? Really John?" He muttered, shaking his head.

"I don't get why you're being so rude to me all of a sudden..." John mumbled

Alexander gave John a look that showed his annoyance. "I haven't been rude to you. You're the one who won't stop working and who decided to go to Rhode Island instead of New York!"

John locked shocked. "I'm going to Rhode Island because it's my dream school, Alexander!" He argued, glaring bullets at the ground.

Alexander rolled his eyes. "Yeah, And that's great. But I love you, John. And I want to be with you but how am I supposed to do that if you're going to live three hours away from me?!" He asked loudly, not meaning to say what he did.

He knew he wasn't supposed to tell John how he felt.

John immediately looked at Alexander, confused. "Yo-you want to be with me?" He asked

Alexander bit his lip and nodded, avoiding John's eyes.

John couldn't help but smile. "I've been waiting for you to say that for so long, Alexander. So, so long..." he replied.

Alexander looked at John now. "Really?"

John smiled brightly and nodded. "Yes, Alex!" He answered, hugging him.

Alexander still looked shocked but smiled, hugging John back.

"Oh my God!" Alexander finally said after moments of silence.

John nodded and pulled away from their hug.

Alexander looked at John for a moment. "So... does this mean we are dating?" He asked, biting his lip anxiously.

John nodded a bit. "Mhm-If you want to, that is."

Alexander nodded quickly. "Oh, I want to!" He said, causing a giggle from John.

"Alright then. We're dating," John said, giggling more.

This made him very happy.

Alexander nodded before he stopped his smile. "John... can we like... keep this a secret for now?" He asked. "I-I'm not embarrassed of you or anything... it's just... with college and yeah..."

John hesitated to nod. "Yeah, yeah... that's fine. I-uhm- get it." He said

Alexander really just didn't want to tell Lafayette, knowing he would be upset with him.

Alexander smiled and nodded again, taking John's hand and squeezing it.

"This is amazing."
