Camilla P.O.V.
As soon as the door opens, a waft of sweat, alcohol, and marijuana fill my nose, and it immediately wrenches up. The smell is more then unpleasant, not to mention the amount of girls grinding on men in plain sight.
I step into the house and the door abruptly shuts behind me as I jump, and turn towards who had just closed it.
"Cami! Babe, how are you? You've been good? That's great, here's a drink." Niall shoves a red cup at my chest and some of the red liquid spills out onto the floor. He's clearly in the wrong state of mind but he's still coherent to everything that's happening.
Not totally drunk.
"No thank you. Uh do you have an idea where any of the rest of the boys are?" I shout over the loud noise and he points toward the backyard. "See you later."
Walking away quickly, I make my way towards the glass doors that lead outside. There's a bonfire going on in the corner with a few people around it, some people I recognize from school. I don't walk towards them but the opposite direction. Luke could be hanging out near the stone wall by the woods, or maybe even the pool. This property is huge.
My feet stop by the edge of the pool, close to no teens in it. That's not suprising, it is November, it's practically freezing.
Music blares through the windows as a chair is suddenly thrown out of it, inches from hitting me.
'Where the fuck are the parents?'
I inch towards the huge stone wall that separates the woods and his backyard, leaves crunching beneath my feet. Distant laughter echoes off the walls and I furrow my eyebrows. It sounds like more then one person.
One of my hands touch the stone wall and I peek around the corner, my eyes searching for a figure. A small gasp escapes my lips when I see smoke trailing from certain blonde and brunette haired mouths.
A twig snaps and their laughter stops, Luke being pushed out of the way by Louis. His eye lock on the girl in front of him and he wobbles slightly toward me.
I instantly back away, the smell of mint mixed with intoxication and marijuana filling my senses for what seems like way too long.
'It has been four years since that last smell. Don't go back Cami.'
His hand cups my cheek, and he roughly grabs the back of my neck, kissing my lips in a slimy way. I cough and push him back, his mouth tasty of whiskey. Too heavy.
Way too heavy.
"Hi baby. Haven't seen you in a while huh? Where ya been? Fucking other guys?" He spits, shoving me back a bit and I catch my balance.
He's in his angry state of being high. His eyes ablazed red makes a scary sight, but maneuvering a way out of this situation, is the best option right now. Luke's eyes are popping out of his sockets, as he holds onto the stone for support.
There is an understand meant of why Louis is angry. He should be. I haven't texted him in forever nor talked to him in the past week, and now a feeling of guilt takes over my mind.
"No I haven't been. Were you two getting high?" I ask and a small giggle escapes both of their mouths. "Lou, you- you promised you would stop."
"And you promised you would give me a second chance, but guess what? Life doesn't always go the fucking way you want it to. Want a hit?" He smiled wide, his eyes focused on mine.
'You promised to yourself Cam. You said you weren't going to ever touch it again. Dont. Get Luke and leave.'
"No I can't. I can't believe you. And Luke, what the hell are you doing?" He walks towards me and smiles, clearly intoxicated and high off the drug he's immuned.
"Welllll, ya see, this guy Louissss wanted to fight like punch, punch, because I knocked his drink on-on him and then he said to take it outside, so we did. And then I punched his side and a bag of pot fell out and now we smoke. End of story." He spoke slurred and set his hands on Louis's shoulder.
'That was the boy in the jean jacket.'
"Okay, well, it's time to leave Luke. I think you've had enough to smoke for tonight." I grab his hand and yank him towards me, only for Louis to set a hand on my shoulder.
"C'mon Cam, why you gotta ruin the fun? Stay, have a couple of drinks. We need to catch up, I haven't seen you in such a long time." His voice is persuasive as he rubs his thumb along my jawline.
It doesn't matter if he is intoxicated or high, he still stays Louis every time. He is the only teen I know who knows what they are doing when they are high. He calls it a gift.
"Louis, I really just came here to get Luke-"
"I thought we were best friends. I thought we were gonna give us another chance. I thought you liked me. I thought you cared enough to stay! I thought you cared enough to send me one fucking text message in the past week Camilla! Obviously you don't fucking care at all!" He's practically yelling towards the end and I wince at his harsh tone. My grasp on Luke has soften and he is watching us carefully. "You're staying or else."
I gulp loudly, squeezing my eyes shut because this has happened before. If I leave the party he will ignore me or hurt me or something else.
That's why I can't leave.
"Okay?" He asks, his teeth clenched.
"Okay." I nod and a satisfied look takes the place of his angry features.
"Take a hit." He grins, red eyes staring straight into mine.
