Cami P.O.V."Do you not remember this lake?" He chuckled and I shook my head, furrowing my eyebrows. I turned my head to gaze over the crystal water and the greenest grass I've seen. The kind of cold weather hasn't taken a toll yet I'm sure, considering today was pretty sunny and breezy.
"No." I spoke barley above a whisper , as my eyes landed on a familiar Birch tree. It had some kind of lettering carved into the front.
"We used to come here as kids." He uttered, and the memory soon filled my mind.
(A/N, scene is after Louis and Cami shared their first kiss in flashback, chapter 19)
"Louis stop!" I screeched at him as he tried to push me into the lake. The blush was still prominent on my cheeks from the kiss we had just shared. Strictly friendly, I shouldnt be making a big deal out of it.
"Cmon, its summer! You haven't even swam yet!" He laughed and stopped trying. He stepped away from me and raised his shirt over his head, dropping it to the ground. "We came here to swim Cami. Why would I have perfectly good swim trunks on if they aren't put to use?"
"I don't think it matters." I laughed, as he slipped out of his shoes. He walked to the edge of the water and looked down, then back up at me.
"Well? You have your bathing suit on, go on, undress. " He laughed and shook his fringe out of his eyes. I didn't know he'd be saying it to me in the future in a more serious way.
I rolled my eyes and pulled down my shorts, revealing my baby blue bikini. I slipped my cami off and folded it on the side, slipping out of my sandals as well. Once I turned around and looked at Louis, his eyes grew wide.
"Wow. Your really pretty." He bit his lip and blushed. I laughed, I had a feeling he wasn't just talking about my face. "B-before we swim, let's make it official before our first of the summer."
"What do you mean?" I asked. He ran to his bookbag resting on the grass and pulled out his key.
"I mean.. just come here." He ran over to the birch tree, its green leaves creating a shadow over the green grass. I walked over quickly towards him, and saw he had started to carve a L into the tree.
"You're writing your name?" I scoffed with amusement and he shook his head.
"No, you ninny, just watch." He scolded. Soon enough he had carved the letters L+C 2006.
"Oh I get it. But it seems like its.. missing something." I stated as he stepped back, admiring his work.
"I know." He stepped forward again and started to draw a shape around the letters and numbers. It was a heart. "There. Now its set in stone."
"You mean wood." I cracked and he turned towards me, sticking his tongue out.
"Haha, very funny!" He chuckled and walked back towards the lake. I did the same, and soon enough I felt fingers slip through mine. I turned my head towards Lou, who was grinning like mad.
"This place will always be ours. Forever." He smiled and I nodded.
"Forever." I squeezed his hands tighter, as we both plunged into the water below.
I snapped back into reality when my door was abrubtly open and Louis held a hand out for me to take.
"Are you sure you don't remember it?" He asked, pulling me out. I smiled faintly and nodded.
