Hey guys, how's life?
Camilla P.O.V.
The lady at the front desk hands me a late pass (even though I don't need one, since it's the start of a new period) and I thank her anyway. Mum had just dropped me off after our lunch at Chipotle, and everyone is still in class at least for the time being.
Right now we are in second quarter of the school year, which means that our schedule is flipped. All our morning classes are in the afternoon and the same students are in the class, it's just at a different time. The reason my school does this is to "test the teachers intelligence rate and stress level" and because several students can't take morning classes because they have jobs. This gives students a chance to take their favorite classes in the afternoon. And if you took Health first quarter, you didn't have to take it the rest of the year. Instead, you just had another study hall in another period.
This was my before schedule:
1st. English
2nd. Biology
3rd. Photography
4th. Health
5th. Lunch
6th. Lab/Physed
7th. World History AP
8th. Calculus AP
9th. Study HallAnd now it is:
1st. Lab/Physed
2nd. World History AP
3rd. Calculus AP
4th. Study Hall
5th. Lunch
6th. English
7th. Biology
8th. Study Hall
9th. PhotographyIt's not as confusing as it looks and it takes a little getting used to the first couple of days, but it refreshes our minds I guess.
It's only a few minutes into 7th period so that means that I have Biology with Louis.
Great.
My locker is into view once I step into the South corridor and my feet pad along the white floor toward it. It opens with ease once the combination is in and I take out my Biology and Photography folder, placing the books I don't need neatly back on the bottom shelf. Once my locker is shut, I walk to the Biology room hoping that Mrs. Bard won't call me out on being late.
I hate walking in late. It's like people's eyes are judging you and it makes me uncomfortable. It's like none of them have ever been late before and you just murdered someone or something.
I inhaled a huge breath anyway before walking in. I am hoping my hair or outfit isn't messed up because that would be worse.
My outfit is literally basic rich. Plaid blazer over a white silky shirt, and ripped skinny faded jeans that look practically designer. I paired the outfit with white vans, a airplane necklace, and a few random bracelets on my wrist. I had just kept diamond studs in my ears and perfectly fishtailed my hair to the side. My mum did spend quite the penny on this outfit and I'm greatly appreciative.
The door creaks open and my eyes squeeze shut in embarrassment. One eye peeks open at Mrs. Bard who is looking at me with amusement and the door shuts loudly behind. No eyes in the room meet mine, but I can feel their stares around me as I bite my lip.
"Ms.Montgomery, so nice of you to join us. And what is your excuse for being," She checks the time on her watch and smiles at me. "Fifteen minutes late?"
"I uh.." The mistake is made when my eyes gaze over the class and they are all staring at me waiting for an answer. "I just came into school, there was something important I had to do this morning."
A few chuckles come from the back and knowing who they all were I ignore them and hand her the late pass. She pushes her glasses further up her nose and her eyes scan the slip of paper.
"Ahh I see. Well we are on page 35 in your textbook and the topic is mitosis. Please copy the notes from the projector and take a seat." She explains and I nod, walking down the first isle to my lab table. Louis just continues to stare down at his textbook, copying the vocabulary into his notebook and doesn't make eye contact as I sit in the seat next to him. Hopefully there will be new assigned seats soon. It's still the same order in the back, Me and Louis, Brian and Zayn, Liam and Niall. All the snickers were from them.
