It seems it wasn't only Yutong who felt frustrated.
A groan escaped Zhan Yao's mouth. Well, at least it would have, if he wasn't wearing the collar.
He had to think about yesterday again.
Never in his life had he been this embarassed and ashamed of himself.
How could he just let his urges control him? Was he not usually a master at controlling himself? So what happened? He wasn't a f*cking animal, he didn't get in heat or anything!
Zhan Yao was absolutely furious with himself.
But he was even more furious at Bai Yutong.
He blushed.
He wondered what would have happened if those two guards didn't come because they had to check up on a system glitch. How far would they have gone?
He was just glad Yutong had noticed them early on. If he hadn't, they would have been caught in a really awkward situation.
Would Yutong come back? He told him they were breaking up but Bai Yutong didn't exactly seem like he accepted it. Far from it.
Of course he would come visit him again. It was Bai Yutong after all.

But he didn't.
Zhan Yao looked at the clock again.
Normally, Yutong should have arrived hours ago.
Maybe he actually accept their break up? Zhan Yao highly doubted that. But Yutong had actually left without his usual 'I'll come again tomorrow'.
But still, based on what they had done yesterday and Bai Yutong's doubtful glances it was very unlikely.
Maybe he just got in a traffic jam? Or work was busy?
His breath got caught.
He couldn't possibly have been involved in an accident. Right?
No. After all, this is Bai Yutong we are talking about. The mouse doesn't just get injured this easily. But what if he had?
Zhan Yao felt the panic rise up inside his body.
He imagined countless scenarios inside his head. All of them had Bai Yutong in them: deeply hurt, injured, unconscious, in the hospital or even-
No! He didn't want to think about that. Yutong should be fine. He had to be fine. Or else why did he do all this for? It would have all been for naught.
And one of his last sentences to Bai Yutong would have been 'I don't love you'.
He started to feel sick.
The edges of his visions turned black and everything seemed blurred. A penetrating, tinitus-like noise rang in his ears and he had to sit down.
Panick-attack.
That's what it was.
Zhan Yao knew all about it and how to deal with it. However, he never thought he would actually ever experience one.
He sighed in his mind.
Bai Yutong, oh Bai Yutong, what are you doing to me?
It was laughable. He was the one who told Bai Yutong not to come back again, but now that he actually followed his demand he got worried all by himself and wished to see him - make sure he was all right.
