They just lounged in bed the whole morning, not even talking much but just enjoyed the closeness of the other and cuddled.

Days passed and Zhan Yao finally got discharged from hospital. In the time of their stay they got along quite well with the nurse who actually scolded them and said she doesn't wish to see them any time soon again. They had just laughed at her playful seriousness.

Bai Yutong shut the trunk and slung both his and Zhan Yao's bag over his shoulders and followed him to the door. They climbed the stairs up to their shared apartment - Bai Yutong walking behind Zhan Yao so he could adjust to his pace and watch out for him if he possibly started to feel unwell again.

In front of their door Zhan Yao turned towards him and waited for Yutong to get the keys and open the door. Neither of them talked much since they left the hospital.

Bai Yutong had really pulled it off to stay at the hospital with Zhan Yao for his entire stay there, only occassionally leaving to get something for his cat or when he unwillingly got dragged to work by either Bao Sir or his brother. At least he successfully wrapped up the case, even though he just spend little time at the office - even more motivated and efficient since he wanted to return to his cat as soon as possible.

Yutong struggled to get out the keys as he was carrying both his and Zhan Yao's luggage and when he finally thought he got it, the keys somehow managed to tangle themselves up inside his pocket and got stuck. He sighed and earned a questioning glance from Zhan Yao who had, until then, just absentmindedly stared off into space. A wicked idea formed inside Bai Yutong's head as he watched Zhan Yao's innocent gaze and he suppressed the sly smile that threatened to spread across his face and give him away.

"The key got stuck and I have my hands full, do you mind getting them, they're in my pocket."

He said and turned so Zhan Yao would have access to his pocket.

"Sure."

Zhan Yao said and reached inside Yutong's jacket pocket. Now, Bai Yutong couldn't help the small grin tugging at the corners of his mouth as he observed Zhan Yao's confused expression when he reached into an empty pocket. He tried the other side but the keys weren't there either and Zhan Yao faced up to Yutong questioningly, a little shocked at the proximity since Bai Yutong looked down on him. A small blush crept over his cheeks.

"Wrong pocket."

Bai Yutong whispered and watched amusedly as Zhan Yao slowly processed his words and blushed an even deeper red when realisation hit him. Zhan Yao hurriedly pulled away from him.

"G-Get them yourself!"

He stuttered and Yutong started to complain.

"But my hands are full and the keys got tangled up."

"Then put the bags down!"

"It will be much faster if you just get them."

"N-"

"Ah, the bags are so heavy. Zhan Yao, hurry up!"

Bai Yutong teased and watched as the blush on Zhan Yao's face spread to his ears and neck as well. He was already preparing for Zhan Yao to snap at him - resulting in their usual bickering - when Zhan Yao surprised both him and himself as he angrily stuffed his hand in the pocket of Yutong's pants. He avoided Yutong's gaze as he fiddled and struggled with the tangled keys until he finally managed to pull them out and turned around to open the door and stepped into their apartment.
