"What are you doing here?", Gongsun said in his usual desinterested tone. But the trained eye could notice he was clearly annoyed. Bai Jintang either did not notice or did not care as he invited himself into Gongsun's appartment without the owners permission. Gongsun, already familiar with the man's antics - much to his dismay - let him in without another complaint, knowing he would not be able to stop him either way.

"Get dressed, we're going out", Bai Jintang stated and sat down on one of the chairs as if he was in his own house. Gongsun frowned in an obvious sign of displeasure.
"You will go out. I will be going to sleep", he shot back and signed towards the appartment door in an invitation for Jintang to leave.
"You're being unusually direct. Straight to bed without even going on the date first?", Jintang twisted his words and stood up while stripping himself of his suitjacket and loosened his tie. The annoying smirk perfectly intact on his handsome face - making Gongsun's want to slap it right off increase tenfold.
"Get out", he tried to remain calm.
"Sure. As soon as you're finished we can go. Can't have you walking around town in a pyjama, can we?"
"You-"
Jintang immediately interrupted him, stepping into his personal space and lowered his gaze on him somewhat authoritatively "Or would you like me to help you change? Though I can't promise we will really have the originally planned date afterwards", he said and licked his lips suggestively.

Gongsun finally snapped and pushed Jintang away, angrily storming into his room and got out only five minutes later, fully dressed and still fuming.
Jintang smirked victoriously and - being the gentleman that he is - opened the door for Gongsun.
They left their appartment complex via Jintang's expensive car and drove towards the city. Finally, Gongsun could not take it anymore.

"You could at least tell me where we're going", he tried to adjust his voice into its usual desinterested tone but Jintang still took notice of the sharp annoyance and slight curiosity.
"You'll see when we get there", he smiled secretively - purposely denying him of the information, fully knowing it will only upset him even more. Bai Jintang briefly wondered if he just likes teasing his man or if he should be considered a sadist.
"Why do I even have to accompany you in the first place?!", Gongsun decided Jintang as unworthy of his usual calm demeanor.
Jintang just smiled even wider at his outburst. Maybe he really was a sadist after all?
"Because it's Christmas!", he said like that explained everything humanity could ever question.
"And what kind of reason is that supposed to be? I don't even celebrate it. And even if I did, I wouldn't do it with you."
"But you can't just leave me on my own on a day like this. Don't you think that would be too lonely and pitiful?", Jintang whined childishly, making Gongsun roll his eyes.
"How are you alone today? Didn't you have dinner with your family?", Gongsun promptly denied. Only when Jintang did not reply immediately, Gongsun noticed his own oversight. The car was filled in silence for a moment and Gongsun tried not to make it obvious how awkward he felt.

"You informed yourself about me!", Jintang finally burst out happyly and his eyes sparkled teasingly but also lovingly when he looked at Gongsun for as long as he could afford to without crashing his car. Gongsun got angry almost instantly and lashed out.
"Who informs themself about you?! I only remembered Bai Sir talking about it at work!", he justified himself but Jintang was too engrossed in his own joy to even listen to him properly. Gongsun got even more mad at the man, only choosing to hear what he wants to hear.

Despite his unwillingness, Gongsun reluctantly let himself be dragged around by the merry Jintang and eventually started to enjoy the evening date with him. Though he still refused to accept it as such.
Back at Gongsun's appartment, they both sat down for a short while and drank their tea in comfortable silence. As usual, it was Bai Jintang who broke their silence first.
"Here."
Gongsun glanced at the messily wrapped gift with critical eyes.
"It's for you, so open it", Jintang finally urged him on when he noticed Gongsun's lack of reaction.
"I already told you I don't celebrate Christmas", Gongsun stated flatly and continued to sip his tea.
"So you're just going to reject my gift like that? Do you know that I really put effort into this?! Look! I even wrapped it myself!", Jintang behaved like an upset child and pointed almost accusingly at the sorry excuse of wrapping paper around the gift.
"I don't have anything for you", he still rejected Jintang and stood up to clean up his empty cup. Bai Jintang held him back.
"That doesn't matter. I already got to have a date with you. I'm happy with that."
Gongsun turned around and stared at him in disbelief. "You paid for everything we did, how coud that be considered a gift from me?", he questions. Jintang just shrugged.
"If you insist, I can also have you gift me something different as well", Jintang teased him again and Gongsun's expression turned dark at once. He wordlessly turned around and resumed to clean his cup.

Still bothered by the selfish young master's proposition, Gongsun did not notice when said man got up from his seat and stepped behind him, successfully trapping him against the kitchen counter with his arms on both of his sides.
"You have to accept", Jintang whispered lowly into Gongsun's ear, his tone nowhere near his usual arrogant calmness. It was dark and dictatorial - nothing like the usual sweetness Bai Jintang always used with Gongsun.
Gongsun's stiffened form trembled at his words and he was not quite sure whether Jintang meant the present or the relationship he wished them to be in.
Gongsun gulped dryly.
"I already told you, I have nothing to return to you", he breathed out silently, not really sure himself, whether he meant the gift or the relationship.
"And I also told you it did not matter. You have to accept!", Bai Jintang demanded again, his grip on the counter turning harder, his knuckles turning white.

"I'll open it, so move", Gongsun finally agreed and Jintang released his grip on the counter with some difficulty, swiftly hiding his stiffened hands behind his body and any hints that could tell on his emotional state behind an expertly smile.
Gongsun breathed out relieved, wondering to himself when he started to hold his breath.

They moved back to the table and Gongsun quietly removed the poorly done wrapping paper with a confused heart.
What had he actually accepted to just then?
