Were waiting for Alice to come. I got the medicine already. My dad , matt and his parents know. I have cried A LOT. "Okay we're ready. Is it just going to be both of you?" She asks me and i nod. Everything gets set , matt and my dad walk out and she tells me a practice push will be the first. Its painful not gonna lie. It takes 4 pushes for him to be out. He doesn't cry though. She does something while they quickly clean him and start connecting a bunch of things. "Its okay babe" cody says comforting me bc im crying also he's tearing up. They ask cody to go and he sees him.

I get to see him quick and its devastating. My heart is broken. He looks so fragile. My baby. Baby Eli. They take him and start treating him. They're taking him to an incubator with other babies. Cody goes with them while they finish up with me. They connect ivs to me then they let my dad and matt come in. Matt hugs me and i break down. "He'll get through it , he's a little fighter. Don't loose hope Sa" matt says. My dad also hugs me.

Cody
This is honestly so tough , i feel very distraught. I can't imagine how she feels. He looks so fragile. "Hello Cody. How's everything?" Doc asks. "She had preeclampsia. She had to be induced , they said it was an emergency. They were both in danger" i say with a shaky voice. "The doctor said his chances of surviving is still nothing. If he makes it , he has to stay in an incubator for 3 to 4 months" i say and my voice cracks. "I'm sorry about that. Stay strong , everything will be alright. We will all pray for you two and him. Take all the time you need. We understand" he says.

Doc
The game just finished 4-5 we lost. We needed our star player. My heartbroke hearing what had happemed. It's a terrible situation. All we can do is be there for them during these tough times. "If i can ask all media , and those who are not players or coaches exit the clubhouse" i say and they start leaving. The boys looking at me inconfusion. "Gather around" i say and they gather around me. "This is tough for me to say as well as it for me to hear it. In this club house we build a bond , were a family" i say.

"As you all know and could obviously tell , Cody isn't here. He had an emergency. Sahar wasn't feeling well and her doctor said she needed to rush to the e.r. When she got there they told her she had preeclampsia and needed to be induced right away to save her and the baby" i say and their eyes widen and jaws drop. "The doctor said the baby will remain 3-4 months in an incubator which would have been the reminder of her pregnancy. If he makes it. They said the chances of his survival is nothing at the moment" i say.

"I ask we all pray and send love , support and positive energy to Cody , Sahar and the baby" i say and they all nod. "Is she okay?" Corey asks. "She's under supervision. He didn't tell me her condition" i say and he nods. We all get together arms on eachothers shoulders and Rich starts the prayer. "Dear god , we're all gathered here today as one to ask for you to send all the strength to Cody , Sahar and their son who is fighting for his life. Help him stay strong and overcome this battle. Lead him to the strength. Don't let Cody and Sahar feel weak , don't let this defeat them. Give them the strength they need. In jesus name , Amen" he says. "Amen" we all say.

@espn: the Dodgers changed their lineup today last minute removing Cody Bellinger. He was no where to be found at the ballpark. He wasn't present at batting practice. Dodgers loose game 3 of the World Series.

Sahar
It's been tough. I haven't seen hin today. Cody is asleep. I couldn't sleep. My dad stayed but matt left. "Thank you" i tell the nurse. She just brought me water. I stay awake until cody wakes up. "How are you feeling?" He asks and i shrug my shoulders. "Stay strong babe" he says then pecks my forehead. "You have to go to the game today. They need you" i say. "I can't leave you" he says. "Please ... Look at me. They need you , go with them. You need this. Nothing will happen here" i say. "Please" i say. He doesn't say anything.

After a while of convincing him he agrees and goes and checks in on Eli then comes back , kisses me then leaves. My dad walks in with coffee then sits on the couch. The rest of the morning nurses come check on me and i constantly ask about Eli.

"We have Cody Bellinger back in the lineup after yesterdays sudden last minute decision to take him out" the guy says. "Today's uniform the players have a pink and blue ribbon. Dodgers mourning a loss perhaps" he says and they show corey and they all have them. Even doc and the pitching coaches. The game begins and the first innings cody looks out of it. Bottom 9th , the other team is leading by one. Bases loaded , 2ball 2 strike. "You got this" i whisper. The ball goes towards him making full contact with his bat. Corey , Kike and Alex also score. 8-4 its tied again. 2-2 .

"He's in the incu ,only you can go" she says and i nod. She helps me up and we slowly walk to the incu. The game finished about 30 min ago. Cody should be on his way. We get to the section and i have to put on some scrubs? A face mask and gloves. We walk in and theres a few babies in incubators. "This is your baby" she says as we reach one. I feel a tear roll down my face. He has a bunch of cords connected to him. Every little thing being monitored. She walks away for a second and i just look at him.
