why? because we view them as terrible people 99% of the time because we're being hormonal, emotion, on-their-period teenagers.
when you face a break-up you don't exactly want your mom whispering to your dad across the table, leaning out of her seat, to whisper in his ear, "John, you owe my 20 bucks." while, oh-so-casually glaring through your tears.
or being lecture on how your shorts are too short, tank top shows too much skin, and claiming your bra is stuffed.
