Chapter 4

Matt's Point Of View 

There was still some time before the party initially started but Genova informed me that people start to roll around early just to get great parking spots and get smashed early, but since her friends were already there we decided now was the best time to go. 

The ride wasn't too long nor was it too short, it was just filled with a comfortable silence as Genova drove us to an area filled with mansions and fields. I stared at my surrounding astonished that people actually lived in these lifestyles.

 I was quite new around this area so I wasn't quite familiar to these streets; they looked foreign, just as foreign as my new house was in my eyes. We soon came to a complete stop. The house we pulled up to was huge. The house seemed to tower over her car casting a shadow upon it as the sun started to set behind the house making all light slowly disappear.

 The party hadn't even started yet and as soon as I got out I was already greeted with red solo cups that seemed to scatter all over the lawn. I looked around as friends greeted each other with cases and cases of alcohol looking like it would last them for at least the rest of the parties this year. 

Each and every person was dressed up not a single kill joy was in sight; there were all costumes. ' Okay try and keep an eye out for our friends okay Matt ? ' Genova said. I just nodded trailing behind the vampire dressed girl as we squeezed through the entrance door that had teens trailing in and out of it. 

One step in the house and it was a already an instant party. People huddled around the kitchen, the connecting lounge room, up the stairs and the second storey not a single part of the house was left untouched. The music trailed from a dj booth vibrating the whole house shaking it .

Amongst walking through the house a girl latched herself onto me. Im guessing she was quite drunk seeing as all her weight was being pushed onto me. Her small hands trailed down my body attempting to grind on me with the balance she had left in her. 

Im guessing the uncomfortableness was visible on my face as Genova hooked herself not the girl whispering something inaudible in the girls ear. The drunk girl turned to look at Genova blinking a couple times before slowly scurrying away to who knows where. I shot G a thankful smile before she nodded in return following her previous steps to the back. 

Genova's Point Of View 

Matt and I had probably trailed about 5 times around the house will we finally found our way to our friends. I would of found them earlier but their scent was pretty hard to catch with the smell of alcohol and spirits lingering in the air. They were all in an area that was mainly secluded from the actually party held inside. 

This was generally the area that people went to, to chill with their friends, smoke or talk. There weren't many people here but there were just enough where you could hear different sparks of conversations. Matt and I stride towards my group of friends huddled around a fire pit; Shawn in particular caught my attention. 

 He stood to the side of us not too close but also not too far,  he was in a spot where you would for sure know he was part of our click if you saw him. He was propped up against a wall with a petite girl pinned up against him. His head lingered in the area on her neck. He was doing exactly what I hoped he wouldn't be doing. Ohh Shawn please don't be doing what I think you are I thought Oh yeah he is Cameron muttered in my thoughts.

Mind Conversation between Cameron and Genova

Genova: Why is Shawn feeding on a mortal here ?! 

Cameron: He was hungry Gen his eyes were starting to dilate
