Chapter 22

Matt's Point Of View 

The whole walk there I pondered if what I was doing was a big mistake. I even turned back 2-3 times but forced myself to keep going and just get it over with. But the closer I got the more my thoughts started to claw at me. Maybe I shouldn't do this Genova did say that 1% of people actually survived when being bit by a Vampire. 

Though those statistics are quite nerve racking it wasn't going to stop me from at least trying. As little as I've been admitting it to myself I think I love Genova, I wasn't ready to leave her just yet and Im sure as hell don't want to die just yet I thought. All this time since the Vampire council I acted like I didn't care, like me being killed wasn't shaking me to the bone.

 I chose to hide the fact  that I wasn't scared because in all cases if I did die I didn't want Genova beating herself up over the fact that they're killing me because of her. She chose to tell me about Vampires. She'd have no one to blame but herself. I was almost where I should be and I 100% decided that I had to do this. I may not make it but at least I tried. 

I was dying under any circumstance any way. I looked up at head and saw the sign. I walked and walked until I reached the area where I needed to be. The dark and murky woods where I once discovered that the  mythical creatures of Vampires did in fact exist.

' Well well well looks like blondie finally found the number I put in his phone ' the voice giggled. ' The party was how long ago Matt and your only hitting me up now ? you do take some time ' she provoked. ' Now tell me, why did you call me to meet you here ? ' Maddison smirked. 

I glanced up at her watching as her eyes glowed in the night as a sinister grin found their way her lips. I swallowed the lump that seemed to be forming in my throat before answering. ' I-I need a favour ' I stuttered. I watched as her eyes filled brightened as a laugh escaped her lips

  ' Ha what makes you think I'll do whatever it is you'll request Matt ? ' Maddison snickered. ' P-Please I need you to do this for me I don't wanna die ' I cried failing at holding myself together in front of this girl. 

Genova's Point Of View 

It's been 1 hour since Matt left my house and he still hasn't texted or called me like he usually does. Not only was I already getting nervous but as the night sky seemed to darken; it wasn't helping my situation so I decided to call his home phone. 

' Hello ? ' a voice called through which resembled Laura's voice. ' Oh hi Laura I just wanted to talk to Matt for a second could you please put him on the phone ? ' I asked ' Im sorry sweetie I thought he was with you ? ' she asked as her voice grew with concern.

  ' No Laura he left my house about an hour ago ' I explained ' Im sorry honey but Im getting quite frantic here are you sure Matt isn't there ? ' Laura rushed. ' You know what I'm sure Matt's with Shawn or Cameron one of our other friends I must of missed it ill go look for him, I'm sure he's fine ' I said trying to cease Laura's worries. 

' Please find Matt its getting pretty dark outside I don't want him out at this hour ' she said. What she said made me think back to when I first met her. In their house hold it had only been Matt and his mom, their other family members seem to not be in the picture anymore. 

This made me feel like shit cause in less than a week Matt was going to be killed due to the exposure of our beings. This was all my fault, I just had to get him involved. Your so stupid Genova, no wonder Brent left you I thought as I sped out of my house. Genova don't say that Cameron's voice echoed through my head. 

Genova please don't say that again that's not true Cameron said as I had not answered to his previous statement.  

Mind Conversation with Cameron and Genova 

Genova: Yes it is Cameron, Matt's going to die in a few days and

 his mother was stressing to me over the phone because she was worried about him,

 he's all that she's got left , how is she going to be like when Matt's gone huh ?

Cameron: I don't know Genova we'll think of something but for now don't beat yourself up over it okay ? 

Genova: Okay,  I have to look for Matt so stay out of my mind for now Cameron

' What do you want me to do blondie ? '  Maddison smirked. I gulped and let go of a breath I didn't know I was holding in. I opened my eyes that were recently screwed shut before saying what has been on my mind for a couple of days now
