Chapter 12

Genova's Point Of View

Although the day started shitty as the day progressed it started to become shittier. I had no intention of staying in school after the revelation that had happened so I texted everyone to come ditch. I had not needed to go to the mall but I somehow ended up there alongside Jessica and Cameron. Not much was spent. 

We merely just walked around and window shopped. But as boredom started to settle in we all agreed that we should all go home and just chill. As we made it to the exit the sudden thought came into my head alerting me that we had a meeting today. ' Guy's I just remembered that we have a council meeting ' I called out. ' Oh shit almost forgot ' Cameron muttered glancing at a post then back at me with a sinister smirk spreading at his lips. 

' What do you want ' I chucked pushing him. ' Race ya there baby girl ? ' Cameron winked. ' Oh your so on ' I smiled standing beside him. ' Okay you guys know how this works stand at the post when I say one two three you guys speed as fast as you can to the desired place are you guys ready' Jessica commentated standing in front of us as if she were some referee. 

' On your marks, get set, go ' she called out. As Cameron and I sped past each other heading in the direction of the  forrest. I picked up my feet pushing amongst the concrete as hard as I could finally seeing the clearing in between the trees. I slowly started to come to a halt. Studying my surroundings to see if I had beat Cameron. And I sure did. 

Cameron soon came speeding into the clearing resting his hands at his knees. I stalk up to Cameron with my hands behind my back in a mocking way watching him as he tried to catch his breath. '  Oh shut up I get it, baby got some repitory in her ' he laughed licking his lips. 

' Oh good your here ' Jessica muttered appearing behind us as Shawn, Taylor and the rest started appearing amongst the trees. And right as the moon lined up with pavemented clearing in front of us the whole Vampire Community arrived. I looked to my right seeing the elders stalk up the pavement standing amongst us with their heads held up high. 

' It was brought to my attention that our enemies that once fleed are now back once again in his town although they are much stronger than they once were. Me and my fellow elders have never seen anything like this. So for the safety of our community we called this meeting to inform everyone that we should not be scared but what we shall be is cautious. 

We have yet to see if they pose a threat to us or they are simply just looking for a place to settle. Until it is safe for us to disperse we recommend to always have your mate alongside you as I regret to inform you all that several of our fellow beings within this community have gone missing and have been spotted alongside the enemies we are unaware if they are being held hostage or if they are now standing in favour of them' 

I take a deep breath bringing my eyes up meeting Cameron's gaze. I skim to the others to see the same look of fear written in their eyes. For the most part this town as been quiet. Not a single supernatural being has interrupted the peace we have created within the humans. 

Not a single war has ever been brought out in this small town but as of right now I'm wasn't so sure that title would remain. A wave of terror rode through my stomach allowing a unsettling feeling to erupt within me. This news made my problems seems like trash. I guess the look of terror was so prominent with me that one of the elders sped to my side placing a gentle hand on my shoulder. 

' You shall not be scared Gen, you are a Repitory, you are one of the strongest vampires in our community you have nothing to be afraid of ' she cooed. ' But this all seems so intense ' I mutter. ' This is nothing but a warning I believe that nothing would come of this ' she finished before meeting the rest back on the pavement in front of everyone. ' If anything ever comes of this another meeting shall be called but other than that I shall dismiss you all ' 

Matt's Point Of View

' Hey honey what's wrong ' my mom asked on the opposite line of the phone. ' It's not that big of deal, its quite stupid actually ' I sighed. ' Honey what ever is plaguing your mind must be bad I haven't heard you this upset in a while ' she said now sounding concerned. ' Ok well there's this girl I've been friends with and everything was fine but now she's told me to stay away from her as if I've done something bad ' I explained

. ' Do you know why Matt ? '  my mom asked ' Not a single clue ' I sighed. ' Just give her a little time, Im sure she'll come around ' she advised. ' But hey I have to go the meetings about to start, I love you, Ive stocked the card with more money for you just in case, Ill see you soon honey bye ' she rushed before the line went dead.

I was now outside walking in the direction of Genova's house. I have convinced myself to not let this friendship die down and I that I should fight for it. There's no way I was going to let Genova push me away without a reason I just had to get my questions answered. Once I was at her house I brought my hand up to the door knob opening the door with the spare key that was hidden under the mat. 

I made a B line straight for her room pushing the door open. ' Genova? ' I called out walking further into her room. I guess she wasn't home yet. This led me to skim around the basis of her room. Studying every shelf , every crevice. I skimmed at every object in her room when suddenly a sound echoed around her room.
