Chapter 6

Genova's Point Of View 

Monday morning 

No matter how many times you heard the damn sound it never made it easier to wake up nor like the sound. I pried open one an eye glancing at the clock realising that my last alarm was going off; I had at least 5.  

' Ugh it's time for school ' I groaned dreading to get up.  I decided since I was so tired and not bothered to get ready ill just speed through the whole process just to wake myself up. It ended up taking 3 minutes to get ready perks of being a Vampire. I was on my way down to the kitchen when the sounds of banging started to come from the front door. 

' What the hell ' I muttered startled. I walked up to the front swinging the door open to meet Matt. From the moment I opened that door I knew he was injured. It wasn't because he had this energy radiating off from him, it wasn't because he had some sort of link to me. 

It was because I could smell it. It was an oh so familiar smell.  He entered upon my house clutching onto his arm that had blood oozing out of it. ' Oh my god ' I yelped stepping aside ' do you have any bandages ' he said as casual as he should of been. 

 I just nodded taking a deep breath before holding it trying  not to breathe any more air since his smell lingered through out the place. Although I had the power to resist drinking human blood it didn't stop the growing of my fangs out and dilating of my iris's. 

I walked up to my bathroom with him trailing behind making sure I walked a bit faster so that there was a certain amount of distance between us. I retrieved the first aid box shoving it into his other vacant hand before turning around so I was not facing him. 

' Aren't you going to help me ? ' Matt questioned tapping my shoulder. I slowly turned around not saying a word cause I knew If I were to speak I would have to take a breath before doing so. I turned the tap on and got some water on a paper towel and wiped some blood off of Matt's shirt. While doing this I glanced to his face his eyes just held so much pain.

 I couldn't take it anymore I had to breathe. I slowly took a wif of air instantly being filled in my lungs with Matt's scent. I started to feel the familiar aching pain throughout my face; I knew it were my eyes dilating turning black and the fangs ripping apart my gums to grow out.  

I quickly bandaged Matt's arm making sure to lean downwards lower than Matt's face so he were unable to see me; then I turned around out of sight. I blinked a couple times calming my senses till I knew my eyes were back to normal and my teeth had sunk back down. 

' Uh thanks ' Matt muttered  pulling me into a gentle hug being careful that his arm didn't make contact with anything as it was still in pain. ' So you wanna tell my why you were dying at my door step this morning ? I asked trying to sooth the awkward. moment. Matt just chuckled looking away. ' I was kinda walking near this gate and a piece of metal was poking out I didn't see it so I kinda ran into it ' Matt explained slightly embarrassed with his clumsiness. 

' Next time watch where your going you might get seriously hurt next time ' I said lecturing him. ' Awww does someone care about me ' Matt cooed I looked at him with an unamused face. ' Don't worry I'll be careful ' Matt said  placing a gentle kiss on my cheek. 

' Let's head to school now cause we'll be late if we don't ' Matt said scooting off the counter I had placed him on earlier. I nodded my head in agreement following him out of my house where we both started to walk in the direction of the school. 

Through out the whole walk the steady beat of Matt's heart beat rung throughout my ears and inner thoughts. It were so loud that I wondered if Cameron could hear it also. My head was pounding in ache I just wanted to taste Matt so bad since the moment his scent entered my nose.
