On The Cold Night

Few more days past and Leo and Soomi's closure was noticeable to everyone. Soomi would always greet him every morning and they'll sometimes eat together during luch time. Ravi is starting to feel a bit jealous but happy that Leo could be seen by everyone with a girl for the first time. He also accidentally saw Soomi's text on his phone when the kettle made a whistled and Leo rushed to assist it. He waited and waited but Leo hadn't talked to him about the two of them. He just thought it'll come. Leo gulped before tapping the send button. He took a deep breath after and held his phone, eagerly waiting for her response. Later on, his phone vibrated and he quickly opened the message.

Okay. Be there in five minutes. 😊😊

Okay. I'll wait. ☺☺

He walked back and forth. He can't bring himself to calm down. This must be the biggest decision he had ever made. His thought suddenly went to Ravi. He changed a bit. He stopped nagging Soomi since then and also stopped asking him anything with regards to her. He become a bit worried. He didn't even told him what he is about to do now. Suddenly, he felt a tap on his back and he turned around to see who it was. "Haha, geez. Stop worrying. You look like you're going to tell her a bad news instead of confessing. Just keep calm okay. She'll definitely say yes after all. Hmm?" Ravi winked at him. "Tell about it to me later okay? See you." he tapped his back again and walks away not giving him a chance to reply. He frowned as he watched his silhoutte faded. There is always a part of him that against all of this decisions of him but the confusions are way too dominant making him give in with what he think is right and better. Part of him is saying he shouldn't but most of him is telling him to make it quick. Maybe to make himself at ease.

"H-how have you been waiting?" Soomi's voice surprised him. He turned around and fake a smile.

"N-not too long." he replied, obviously nervous. Soomi averted her eyes from him with a tint of pink in her cheeks.

"Ahm....w-what is it that you wanted to tell me?" she asked as nervous as he is. Leo noticed the discomfort from her every moves. She kept on fixing her skirt though it looks perfectly fine, she bit her lips over and over and tapping her other hand on her side continuosly. 'She must be more nervous than I am. I am the guy here and I need to act tougher. Like what Ravi said, I'm confessing. I am supposed to make her happy at this moment.' He took a deep breath as he stood staright and calmed himself. He leaned on her right ear and whispered.

"I like you." he said. Soomi quickly gasped and covered her mouth. She wanted to hug him now but she don't know yet how he wants her to react. Leo then stood back again shyly smiling back at her.

"R-r-really? Am I dreaming?" she slapped her cheeks once making Leo held her wrists to stop her from further hurting herself. He laughed a bit at her silliness.

"Stop that. I don't want you to hurt yourself and....that's true. I like you, Soomi." he said making Soomi lose all control and trapped him in her tight hug. She laughed as she hid her face in his shoulder. Leo knowingly brushed her back and hugged her back. They stayed like that for a few minutes before he broke the hug that Soomi din't seem want to put to an end. "Why exactly are we this happy?" Leo asked as he stared at her still smiling. Soomi pouted.

"What do you mean?" she asked.

"I just confessed but we're way too happy." he replied.

"Are you saying that that's it? We just like each other?" she asked a bit sad. Leo laughed a little.

"Silly. Then....are we dating now?" he asked. Soomi's face lit up again as she pinched his cheeks.

"Are you asking or just trying to make sure I get what you mean?" she said. Leo pinched her cheeks too.
