Third pov
One thing the team had to agree on was that while Phoenix had one hell of a tendency to walk straight into trouble. They weren't all too happy at the idea of Carter Verone taking an interest in her but what could they do? Besides Phoenix was an adult and if there was one thing they knew, it was that she could handle herself. Once again she'd been left alone to open the shop. The rest had gone to get a car that needed to be towed, apparently someone had thought driving drunk would go well and driven straight into a pole.
It was sheer dumb luck that the guy didn't hit anyone. While the man responsible got sent to the police station the wife had decided to call the nearest place that could fix the car. Which just happened to be Tej garage. The sound of another car brings back the memory of a certain brownhaired male saying he would be back.
She got up from fixing the completely smashed front of the car, wiping her hands as she walked outside. The car he'd come in this time had a broken tail-light and the engine sounded like a dying squirrel. She winced at the sound the poor Ferrari made. "What have you done to the poor car?" Carter chuckled. "Nothing, it's been standing in a lot for a year, i just bought it." He watched as she gave the car an overlook. "I can fix this before tomorrow. When will you pick it up?" Carter smirked. "Tomorrow morning." He kissed the back of her hand before going to another car waiting for him. Once again he left her a confused and blushing mess of questions.
Phoenix seriously wondered what this guy's agenda was.
