Third pov
Phoenix head rested on Carter's shoulder as they sat together.
The two of them rarely were in separate rooms since he got out, despite months having passed. And they always found ways to be touching each other in some way.
They couldn't part for long. Not that either of them minded.
Even meeting buisness partners worked better with the two of them, Carter had noted. Especially with Phoenix ability to look deceptingly weak.
Both knew that the cops kept an eye on them but Carter didn't care. He had his Phoenix and the position he had built for himself. He had even decided to expand his little empire, first stop to do that was Mexico and LA where Braga ruled. Which was why they were currently heading to LA.
Time skip
Phoenix eyed Campos with distrust as they entered the club where they were supposed to meet. She didn't trust him.
Still she kept her pleasant smile, though her eyes promised murder if someone where to harm them.
Carter was just enjoying the show. He found it amusing to watch his redheaded partner glare at others. It was one of his favourite ways to pass time actually. See his firey goddess go from arm-candy to flipping someone into a table.
"Carter Verone and Phoenix Cortez. I'm glad to see you have arrived safely." Campos - or Braga as his actual name was, welcomed them. He remembered the report from his men that had met up with the redhead and could see that they were entirely truthful. While to most they looked relaxed, neither were and the woman was obviously waiting for any sign of trouble. She seemed like the kind of woman Owen Shaw would like. Deadly, beautiful reheads, like he preferred.
"The traveling was easy."
While Carter and Braga talked Phoenix discreetly kept her eye on the dark skinned man that was openly glaring at them. When he eventually did notice her he seemed startled to see that she glared back.
I know it's short but i got some questions for you guys.
I'm thinking about making it so that Phoenix ends up helping Dom and Brian with Braga. What would you guys think about that?
