Third pov
Aurelia had been cleaning for mr Verone for years. Six years to be exact. At first she'd been terrified. Her employer weren't known to be nice but she was young and broke. As cliche as it sounded, she had needed the money. And it was good money. And despite Carter's personality he could be nice if he wanted. That's why most of the people he had employed, particularly those working in his house, stayed.
None of them had liked Monica Fuentes. She could be very rude, acted jealous and very obviously didn't trust Carter or the people in the house.
Phoenix however was a different story. She was like Carter in a way. She could (and would) be nice to the people she liked while she had no problem dishing out whatever necessary to the ones she didn't. One of the most important things? She trusted and loved Carter. And he loved and trusted her in return.
Aurelia knew that she, the cook, the gardener and the rest shared the hope that those two would stay together for the rest of time.
Roberto and Enrique were kind of a mystery. Only Carter knew much about them, of course since he hired them. The two hadn't thought that Carter and Phoenix would stay together long, think like nost others that she would be gone once he had his fun. Her taking over while the boss was in prison (after her plan) had gone better than thought. (Let's keep it at the two of them did not expect her to be able to flip someone into a table) To sum it up, Phoenix had gained some of their respect after that.
Phoenix friends weren't happy about her relationship to the man that had such power in the underworld. But they could respect that he made her happy.
