Third pov
When Phoenix came to she was in her and Carter's bed, an IV hooked up to her.
"You are no longer doing these kinds of things alone." Carter sat in a chair beside the bed, a book in his hands. She could see the worry in his eyes even though he kept his composure.
"I'm sorry." She moved the hand on her good arm, lacing her fingers with his. "Didn't mean to scare you." She was still incredibly tired and when he told her to sleep she didn't argue.
Time skip
During the next year the underwold took note of three things.
Dominic Toretto, Brian O'Conner and Phoenix Ortiz took down Arturo Braga.
Brian O'Conner, Mia Toretto and two accomplices broke Dominic out of a highly secured prison bus and disappeared.
Phoenix Cortez was rarely seen outside. Rumors circulating said she'd been shot.
Phoenix sat on the edge of the pool at their house in Miami, drink in one hand. She heard Carter come walking and smiled. "Hello, darling. How did work go?"
In the time line we are after Fast4 and I'm not sure how to proceed.
What do you guys think should happen?
Should they meet the team in Rio?
(Maybe have Rome try to flirt with Phoenix?)
