The elevator beeped as the doors slid open, the tired detective walking out and moving down the hallway to her home. She took out her keys as she puts her phone away. But before she could unlock the door, it opened, revealing a smiling blonde haired lawyer.

"David?"

"David." She confirmed, the detective gives a tired smile, walking into her wife's arms, and letting out a content sigh.

"I missed you." Alex chuckled, and pressed her lips against her wife's forehead, gently rubbing her back before pulling away, and pulling Amanda inside. The blonde lawyer closes and locks the door, then takes her wife's hand, and leads her into the living room, and gently pushing her down on the couch.

"Are you hungry?" Amanda hums, letting out a hum as she maneuvers herself and lays on the couch. "Wine?"

"Yes please." Alex quickly pours her tired wife a glass and takes it to her, before heating up left over dinner, which was Chinese food. After getting a pot holder for the plate, she delivered it to her nearly asleep wife with a chuckle.

"Mm, why is this so good warmed up?"

"That's just how it works. Movie?" Amanada nods and moves so her wife could sit by her. Alex puts on some comedy that she's never heard before, but doesn't complain as she continues eating.

"Why do you smell like watermelons?" Amanda asks a while later after her belly was full, and she was cuddled against Alex. The lawyer laughed, telling her about the watermelon shampoo she got.

"It smelled really good so I bought it."

Amanda hums and scoots close to her, practically on top of Alex now. "Well I like it, keep buying it." The taller blonde chuckles and kisses her wife's forehead.

"Whatever you want love. Now, how about sleep. I have a case I need to prepare for tomorrow so I have to get up early." Amanda lets out a yawn, nodding and pulling up Alex with her. They make their way into their bedroom, quickly changing, not really feeling like doing the naked tango that night.

The crawl into bed, turning the tv on for background noise as they cuddle up to each other. "We really need a break." Alex hum and presses her lips against her wife's forehead.

"Yes we do. Very far away from here."

"California? Or Hawai'i?"

"We could go on a cruise."

"Mm something bad always happens on cruises." Amanda slurs, as she fights her sleep.

"We'll talk about it later baby, sleep now."

"Love you..." she mumbles as she slowly falls asleep. Alex smiles and cuddles her wife close, wrapping her arms tightly around Amanda's waist.

"Love you too baby girl."
