She didn't always feel like this. Felt like she was better off any place else except there. And sadly, she didn't realize they were treating her that way until it was a little too late.
When she first noticed the changes in her girlfriends, it was after a hard case. Y/n, Natasha and Wanda had gone to Russia, posing as tourist from America to track down a Hydra base. And to their surprise, they had remade a Hydra based they attacked before. Which was stupid to do, but made their job easier. Except, it wasn't.
The sight that met them was atrocious. Children, no older than 15 and no younger than 5, in cells that were too small to even have beds in them. The bunker was cold, but their cells were radiating heat, which the ladies could feel from the glass. But that wasn't the worst part. The soldiers that were sent in, were kids as well.
The outcome, changed all three ladies. The ride home was quiet and uncomfortable. Neither of the ladies even talking or sitting by each other, and that's when it all changed. When they touched down, they went their separate ways like they usually do. But Wanda - who usually goes to her room for the night - went straight to Vision's room. Which was odd to Y/n, but didn't think anything of it.
But, while Wanda went to Vision, Natasha went a different direction. She took one of the Tony's extra cars, and just drove off.
For two weeks, Y/n worried endlessly about the redhead Russian assassin. She tried calling her, but her phone was left on the jet. Any place else that she thought Natasha would be, she called, but nothing. But what worried her more, was Wanda seemingly acting like she didn't care. When Y/n told her she left and hasn't called, the scarlet witch shrugged her shoulders before walking away. She didn't know why they were acting like this, even after Natasha came back. They hardly spent time with each other. There was no cuddles or surprise kisses, no one getting together and baking, no movie nights. And it was honestly freaking Y/n out and making her feel she did something wrong. They were acting like they broke up without telling her.
And this, continued on for months. They barely talked with each other, barely looked at each other, and both Natasha and Wanda started getting close to other people, which made Y/n feel like they didn't care, which at that point, they didn't.
However, there were some good days, she won't deny that. She would wake up with kisses on her face and that day, they would spend the whole day together just doing whatever. But when the next day came, they barely said two words to each other, and mainly stayed out of each others way.
Nearly five months after it started, Y/n finished it. The last straw was both of them yelling at her to just leave them alone, and Wanda actually using her powers to hurt her. Of course, Wanda felt horrible after, but it was the last straw.
