The door opened a few seconds after the door bell went off. A older gentlemen opened the door, a smile on his face as he welcomed them into his home. "Perrie, it's wonderful to see you. I'm LeRoy Berry, but you can call me LeRoy. And you must be Lea. She was right, I'm surprised you aren't the cousin, the resemblance is uncanny. But it's wonderful that you ladies are here, please come in." The two singers smiled and walked into the warm welcoming home, looking around the beautiful house.
"You have a beautiful home LeRoy."
"No thanks to him." Another man comes up from behind, a Kiss the Chef apron on as he sends a wink to his wife.
"You're worse than me." He playfully glared at his husband, but a smile eagerly took over his lips.
"Excuse my husband ladies. I'm Hiram, Rachel's better father."
"And a joker." LeRoy gently smacks his husband's arm, before smiling at the two ladies. "Anyways, it's wonderful to see you ladies, and I hope you brought your appetite. We have vegan and non-vegan food. Hiram here can't handle the vegan lifestyle."
"Hey, I need my meat." The two singers tried not to snicker at the reply, but couldn't help but laugh at the bickering couple in front of them.
"Daddy, dad, stop it before you drive them away." Rachel scolded as she bounded down the stairs, her girlfriend right on her tail.
"I'm sorry for my dads behavior, sometimes they're more immature than I think." Perrie giggles and shakes her head as she waves her hand.
"Don't be, it's adorable really." Perrie replies.
"Have you been offered refreshments yet?"
"No, but don't worry." Lea tells her, but Rachel frowns.
"Would you ladies like some wine?" Hiram offers, both Lea and Perrie look towards each other before agreeing.
"Yes please." Both men chuckle before walking off.
"How are you liking Lima so far?" Quinn asked as Rachel led them out the back door.
"It's... interesting to say the least. We all went out yesterday to a Breadstixs. It was really good and their breadsticks were amazing."
"Yea, Santana loves that place."
"She's borderline obsessive." The two singers chuckled, thanking both men when they bring out their glasses of wine.
"Alright, we're gonna get out of your hair, and we'll be home by 11, maybe 12. If you ladies would like another bottle of wine, it's already chilling in the fridge. And if you drink too much, we have a guest room that you ladies may sleep in." Lea thanks them, and then the men turn to their daughter and her girlfriend. "You two may have one glass of wine, no more. They'll be watching you both. Quinn, the steaks will be done in twenty minutes, but everything else is done. It's an honor to meet you ladies, we'll see you soon, enjoy and welcome to Casa de Berry." The four girls at the table giggled at Hiram, Rachel leaning up to kiss her father's cheeks before they walk away.
"So, graduation is soon, what are your plans for college?" Lea asks, taking her wine glass and taking a sip.
"I'm going to Yale, with a major for writing. And she's going to NYADA."
"I'm going to be on Broadway. Becoming the next Barbra Streisand."
"Ooh, I met her once, she's lovely." Lea replies, Rachel's eyes widening before launching into question after question about the older woman. Lea can hardly keep up, but by the time dinner comes around, both Lea and Rachel are laughing about Lea accidentally giving Barbra the flu. "I was just so happy to see her and when she called me, telling me that she was sick and she was sorry if I got sick, I couldn't help but feel horrible for taking the thank you. I did show up at her hotel room and give her soup and flowers though. Home made soup that she still asks for to this day."
As the night goes on, all four ladies learn more of each other, and learn that they have a few things in common. At the end of the night, they help the teens clean up, before saying goodbye and hope to see them soon before they had to leave for tour.
"You know, we're doing a show an hour away, and if you can, maybe you can perform with us?"
"Oh my Barbra, really?"
"Of course, y'all are amazing singers."
"Wait, what about our commercial one time?"
"Oh, I'm gonna have to look over the rules, but if there's nothing against it, I'll text you." They quickly hug before leaving, and soon the two singers are snuggled up in bed, hoping for a yes text from Rachel.
And by morning, Rachel had texted her back with a all capitalized yes, letting her know she needed to start planning asap.
