"You have got to be kidding me."

In hindsight, they really should have known better. There's a reason the rent of their apartment is so cheap— only college students live in the complex. All of the apartment buildings share a pool, exercise space, and computer lab, which sounds ideal, right? What they fail to mention is that some people throw parties when Steve and Bucky have to work tomorrow like normal, ambitious young adults.

The music is coming from the building across the sidewalk where people are filtering in and out of apartment 150. Technically, the space can't fit more than 15 people max, but it seems that 150's neighbors are more than happy to help out on the space issue. Between the two apartments, it seems like half of the complex is here.

"Go to MIT, they said. Everyone is a nerd, they said," Bucky groans and throws his head into the pillow.

"We picked this apartment because it was halfway between Boston University and MIT, Buck," Steve sighs in defeat. "We honestly should have known that it would be all college students."

Bucky seems to ponder this at the same time his phone goes off, making him leap to his feet and start searching his closet. Somehow, he goes from half-dressed to tight jeans and a leather jacket before Steve can even blink.

"What are you doing?"

"You know what they say, Stevie," Bucky grins and attempts to fix his hair in the mirror (the key word is attempts because it's much too long to look like anything other than fashionable hobo.) "If you can't beat em' join em'."

"Nat texted you, didn't she?" Steve rolls his eyes at Bucky's utter predictability.

Natasha, Bucky's sometimes girlfriend, doesn't live in their complex but her best friend, Clint Barton who occupies apartment 151 which is currently being used as the secondary party location keeps her in the loop. Steve actually gets along with Clint's roommate, Sam, who accompanies Steve on a morning run a few times a week.

"That's not the point, Steve! That's not just any party, that's Tony Stark's party and I'll be damned if I sit out free alcohol."

"Does this have something to do with the weird celebrity crush you have on the guy? Because, if so, this is getting to be a little extreme."

"It's not a crush, Steve, it's respect! The dude made his own robot and if we're lucky it might even be in his apartment!" Bucky's grin is a mile wide and Steve knows it's only a matter of time before he gives in. The grin goes wicked as Bucky turns it on him, a knowing look in his silver eyes. "Besides, maybe you'll get laid."

"Bucky!"

"No, seriously, Stevie. I know for a fact that there'll be at least one feisty, doe-eyed brunette with an ass that 'just won't quit' in attendance tonight." Bucky's eyebrows are waggling now and Steve walks out the door and towards apartment 150 just to avoid being the subject of that look.
