Laila's POV

"I figured you didn't want to stay lonely at the house so I decided to call you out for a date", Tania said pouring water in her glass. She had called me asking us to hung out and now she was pinning it on me? Crazy.
" lately you've been so busy even to hang out with your Bestie, huh? I thought we had this vibe but now everything seems different from what I thought", she sighed deeply and I really did understand how she felt. We had not been spending much time like before and I missed her too.
"I'm sorry Tania I've been..", she didn't let me finish.
" busy, I understand. I'm not that important in your life. Thank God your sister have been keeping me busy", she said and I smiled when she mentioned her. I was glad they were hunging out and keeping her busy while I was not at home. I missed her and I hoped she'd come at the restaurant. We always hanged out In that place.
Tania was a good friend to me. She and Vicky made it easier for me to thrive in school when everything was heated up. She stood by me when Don tried his pushy ways in me back in school. And yet I kept her in the dark. I hadn't mastered the courage to tell what was happening in my life. Or maybe not. Somehow I felt bad that she knew Hellboy so much thagn me. They seemed so close and they naturally clicked. No matter how they argued, they still couldn't stop talking to each other.
I pushed back the thought, blocking it from messing my evening like Hellboy did a couple of hours earlier.
"Listen Tania. I'm sorry I haven't been completely honest with you lately about things", I said deeply still debating whether to tell her. Vicky had told me not to trust her. Well, she was my friend and she had given me absolutely no reason not to trust her.
" I'm listening ", she said waiting expectantly. I clamps my hands together nervous of how she'd think of me. What she'd say if she knew where I was living. He was her best friend and she had the right to know. Whether he had told her and asked her to pretend she knew nothing, I didn't care. I wanted the truth to come from me.
" I'm not staying at home anymore. Something happened between me and my mum and so she disowned me." I pinched my nose so hard as the next words came out of my mouth.
"I've been living with Hellzel the past few days", I looked down on the table waiting for her rage to spill on me. I'd completely understand if she got mad at me. I mean he was her friend.
" I knew Lay. I just...", I stammered and continued,
"I knew all along even if you decided to hide from me. All the texts your mum sent you.I also knew that's the reason why you and Rymana got into a fight. I just don't understand why you couldn't trust me enough to share with me", hurt dripped in words and I just didn't know what to say to make her feel alright. That's why I never bothered to make friends. I didn't want to hurt anyone. I was never a good friend to Tania.
" I'm so sorry Tania. I've been meaning to tell you its just that...",
"You weren't shameful enough to move in with my best friend and yet you never bothered to tell me, selfishly not bothering to know if he had a girlfriend who's now hurt because she knows you're living with her boyfriend?", it was more of a shout and I felt more guilty. I really got why she was mad at me. She was hurt. I'd also get hurt if my best friend did the same to me.
" Tania I'm sorry i ...", she put her hand in the air signaling me to shush. I couldn't even make a complete sentence to try and apologize. We sat there in complete silence not knowing what to say. She didn't seem to make any effort to talk and I Wondered if Hellboy was the one who had told her. Of course he was the one. Who else?
"So, you guys are dating, huh?", she said smirking but didn't reach her ears and teased me. Date? No. I can't date Hellboy.
" no. I'm just crashing till I find somewhere else to stay", I said even though I knew I had another place offer for me, which would be less dramatic. But I totally didn't want to leave my new home. I had tried to come up with an excuse not to go with Vicky and I was greatful Hellboy helped me out. Although I didn't root for him to beat up Vicky. I totally felt for the guy.
Wherever you say Mrs Don, or whatever his second name is", she said and I punched her in the arm.
"So, who told you about my stay with Hellboy?", I said just to change the topic.
" Jackie.. ", she said plainly and I shoot her a glare. Hell no.  Not like I didn't think my sister would tell her but she didn't know if I had been staying at Hellboy's place, she only knew I wasn't at home.
" hell no. She's totally lieing to you", Jackie said from behind walking to our table and Tania turned quickly.
