"Jungkook? You alright?" Namjoon asked, noticing him clutching the left side of his face.
"Yeah, I just... have a toothache." Jungkook said, uncertainly. He wasn't really sure what it was, just a strong pain on the left side of his face.
"Ok hold on I'll get some ice, maybe that'll help." Namjoon said walking to the kitchen to get ice. Meanwhile Jungkook stayed sat on the couch, sulking. It hurt a lot. More than just your average toothache from too much sugar or something. He got worried. A trip to the dentist was not his favourite thing ever.

"Here," Namjoon said, sitting down next to Jungkook, putting the ice pack on his left cheek. "Is that better?" Jungkook just hummed, not wanting to even try opening his mouth to give a proper answer.
"How long have you had this toothache for?" Namjoon asked, getting worried for the maknae, knowing how much he hates the dentist. Jungkook held up three fingers.
"3 hours?" Jungkook shook his head.
"...3 days?" Namjoon said, getting more concerned. Jungkook shook his head again.
"....3...weeks?" Namjoon was really worried now. That's a long time to have a toothache for. Jungkook nodded shyly, anxiety building. He already knew what was coming.
"Look, Jungkook.... I know you don't wanna hear this, but... I think you should go to the dentist..." Jungkook started sniffing away tears, shaking his head. He really didn't want to.
"I'm sorry Jungkook, I know you don't want to but 3 weeks is too long a time to be having toothache for. Why didn't you tell us earlier? We could have sorted it out before it got bad." Namjoon said, rubbing careful circles on Jungkooks back to calm the younger.
"...cause I didn't want you to say I had to go to the dentist..." he mumbled. Namjoon sighed sadly.
"Unfortunately it's hard to avoid kook. I'll come with you, don't worry. I'll be there the whole time." Jungkook nodded and sniffed again, letting out a deep exhale.
"Ok, just wait here, I'll go make an appointment for you." Jungkook sat nervously, listening to Namjoon on the phone. No going back now.
"Is tomorrow ok for you Jungkook?" Namjoon peeked his head around the door. No. No it's not. Jungkook thought. But he knew he had to, so he let out a slight nod, and Namjoon gave a reassuring nod back, before going back to the phone.
Jungkook went back to nervously playing with his hands, knowing the hell he will soon experience.

Namjoon ended the call and came back into the room and sat next to kookie, placing an arm around his shoulder. "I booked the appointment for tomorrow morning, ok? Don't worry, I'll come with you. Remember, if anything happens, it's all for your own good. And I'll be there supporting you the whole way, yeah?" Jungkook nods, his breathing still quick from anxiety.

"I'll go get you some ibuprofen for the pain, ok kook?" Jungkook nods and joon pats him on the shoulder before getting up to go to the bathroom where their medicine cabinet is.

——(the next day)——

Jungkook barely slept all all night. He was too filled with the anxiety of knowing what he was going to go through. The thought of what was to happen made him nauseous, and he refused breakfast.
"Are sure kookie? It might help..." joon said, noticing his refusal.
"No thanks hyung, I'll be ok." Jungkook forced a slight smile on his face, as he went to go wash up and get ready to go.

He left his room to see Namjoon grabbing his coat, already ready to leave.
"You ready kook?" Namjoon asks after spotting Jungkook standing frozen in the hallway.
"....not really..." Jungkook says with a shaky breath. Namjoon sighs sadly. This is going to be a long day.
"It's ok Jungkook, take a deep breath. Remember, I'll be with you the whole time, no matter what happens. The dentist knows your afraid, so you can take a break when you need to, yeah?" He said with a hand on his shoulder, looking deep into his eyes. Jungkook nods and looks down to the floor, before shuffling behind Namjoon to the car.
