I just have to tell you this story. So I'm giving it its own chapter 😂😂😂
So basically you may or may not know that I went to canada for a week to go skiing in whistler. It was great, so much fun. I'm not the best of skiers but there were enough easy routes for me to do so 😂😂
Anyway, it was our second day of skiing. We were skiing down from the top of the mountain, and we were going down a run, nearly down to the bottom of this section of slope I guess. We all stopped at the side just to discuss our plans for once we got to the bottom of this section (whether to ski all the way down or just get the gondola back down). Just as we were about to take off again, I feel a dripping coming from my nose. It doesn't take me long before I realise...it's a nosebleed. And a bad one at that. It started so suddenly. Everyone stopped and my mum frantically raided her bag for tissues, of which she had a few. But this nosebleed was so bad that I went through those few tissues very quickly.
I also ought to point out that I used to get nosebleeds a lot when I was younger, but I've sort of grown out of it now. Occasionally I'll get the odd one but they'll never be that bad. Just a few spots.
But this one was bad. Very bad.
I held the tissue away from my nose for two seconds to see if maybe it had stopped. Nope. It poured out of my nose. Onto the snow. So somewhere in the Olympic run in whistler mountain there are splotches if my blood buried under the snow. Love that.

Anyway, I was mortified. Haven't had a nosebleed this bad in years. So I just stand there, pinching my nose at the bridge as hard as I can, holding the tissue under my nose. All the while I'm still in my skis. My feet hurt so bad cause I'd been skiing pretty much all day, my legs were shaking cause standing in skis for a long time is harder than it looks, and I didn't dare move the whole time to sit down or anything, cause I was so scared of getting more blood everywhere. I made sure to keep my head down, which is very important, kids. Don't go swallowing your own blood because if you swallow too much you will throw it back up again. Trust me. It happened to me once. Scarred me for life.

Anyway, we waited for a while, but it just wasn't stopping. We'd ran out of tissues, so I had to use wet wipes. (At least they smelled nice😂) eventually one of the piest patrol people came over to see if we were ok. (Everyone in Canada is so nice and friendly it's crazy) she made sure I was ok, and offered to call for us to get a lift down from a snowmobile or something. I said to give it a few more minutes, cause though I was certain at this point I was dying and I wouldn't be able to ski at all, I guess I wanted to give it a chance, so I did. And miraculously, after a few minutes of breathing in through my nose, it started to slow down, enough that I could side-slip down the hill a little bit and then slowly ski down to the gondola station and get the gondola back down.

Later that night, I started feeling like I needed to sneeze, which we all know is not a good idea when you've just had a horrific nosebleed, so go to the bathroom (where our tissues were) and try to just blow my nose a little. The worst part of having a nosebleed for me is the clots. Just ew. When you swallow them 🤮🤮🤮. So I blew my nose, hoping I could maybe get the clot out, though usually this can start the nosebleed off again. But anyway, I blew my nose, hard enough, and then boom. Out came a massive blood clot. And when I say massive, I mean massive. It was disgusting yet fascinating at the same time.

Anyway. That's the end of my story 😂😂😂
