So imma just take a mini break from requests to do my own thing, Hope y'all don't mind. This is based on the true story of when Yoongi dislocated his shoulder. This happened when he was a trainee, so they're not idols yet. Cool cool.
Being a trainee was so hard. Especially coming from a less fortunate family. Yoongi has to work multiple jobs and long hours to have enough money to survive, all along side the long painstaking hours of training. He barely had any time to himself.
He took advantage of the fact that he'd learn to ride motorbikes, and got a part time job as a delivery man for some food company. It payed the best of all his jobs at least.
After a long day of practice, Yoongi flopped onto his cheep mattress with a long sigh.
Uuugh I have work. He thought, rubbing at his tired eyes with the heel of his palms. He trudged through the small dorm, getting into his riding gear, ready to head to work.
He put his helmet on, and headed off to work on his bike. As soon as he got there he was give several bags of deliveries. He was given the addresses of the deliveries, and off he went. He started the bike, looking at the first address, and set off.It was starting to get dark, and Yoongi knew he definitely shouldn't be riding when he's this tired, but he had to do it. He got the two deliveries done, and headed back to the shop to collect the next ones, and that's when it all went downhill.
He couldn't hold back a yawn as he was driving down the road. He kept his eyes open for as long as possible, but the moment he closed his eyes...
He didn't realise he was driving right past an intersection. A car pulled out, and smashed right into him. He didn't have time to think, before he was laying in the middle of the road with no sense of what had happened. He peeled his tired eyes open, to see the wheel of his bike, still spinning, just above his face. He's breathing heavily with shock, thinking how close he was to having his face torn off from a wheel. Panic started building as he thought about how all his hopes and dreams of having a career as a rapper could go down the drain from this crash.
"Sir are you ok?" He heard a voice say, and he saw the wheel move away from his face as people helped to pull the bike away from him.
"Y-y-yeah i think-" he felt a hot white pain in his shoulder "...so..."
he wasn't ok. His shoulder hurt a lot. He tried to sit up, but he couldn't move his arm. Someone held an arm out for him, and helped to lift him up.
"An ambulance is on its way. Are you sure you're ok? Are you hurt anywhere?" Yoongi looked up at the polite face who was helping him. A good-looking middle aged man.
"I-I'm ok..." Yoongi lied, trying not to flinch at the throbbing pain radiating from his shoulder.
"Ok, I'd wait until the ambulance get here just so they can check you over and make sure you're ok. Here, let me take your helmet off." He says, unbuckling his helmet, revealing Yoongis tired yet traumatized face.
"Do you have insurance for the bike?" The man asked.
"Oh uhh, it's a work bike. I was just doing deliveries."
"Ah, ok. Just sit tight for a bit. The ambulance will be here soon." Yoongi nodded, still shaking from the shock of the accident. They heard the sounds of sirens in the distance, and a few seconds later, the paramedics came over to Yoongi, still sat on the floor.
"Hi sir, are you ok?" One of them asked, crouching down next to him. Yoongi nodded. One of them got a blanket out of their bag and put it round his shoulders.
"Are your legs ok? Do you think you can stand up and walk to the ambulance. It's warmer in there." She asked, and Yoongi nodded, and the paramedics helped him stand up. The pain in his shoulder got worse as they pulled him up, but he tried not to let it show. He walked with shaky legs into the ambulance and they let him lay down on the gurney, hooking him up to the ECG built in to the ambulance. His heart rate was quite fast, understandably so, after what happened.
"The shaking is probably just from the trauma ok? It'll go away soon." She assured. Yoongi nodded.
"We're just gonna do a full body check, just to make sure everything's good, and then we'll let you go." Yoongi let out a sigh. No way would he be able to hide the pain in his shoulder now.
They started at his head, checking for bumps and any possible head injuries, but luckily he was wearing a helmet, that definitely saved his life.
Then came the inevitable.
"Squeeze my fingers for me." The paramedic asked, holding her pointer fingers out. Yoongi reached out with his right arm, and squeezed the finger easily, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't move his left arm at all. He tried harder, one last time, and it sent a striking pain into his shoulder, he can't help but flinch and moan, lifting his right hand up to his shoulder.
"You can't move your arm at all?" The paramedic asked worriedly. Yoongi nodded hesitantly. He didn't want to admit it, cause if he did, that would mean this is real, and he didn't want it to be real.
"Ok, we're gonna go to hospital and get an x-ray of that shoulder, and see what's up with it." Yoongi couldn't help but let tears pool in his eyes. Yes healthcare in Korea isn't nearly as expensive as it is in America, but it still cost something. He didn't know if he'd be able to pay for it. The other paramedic, went to go drive the ambulance, while the other stayed with Yoongi.
He sniffed and wiped the tears away as subtly as possible, but the paramedic still noticed.
"Are you ok sir? Is it painful? Do you want painkillers?" She asked, and Yoongi shook his head profusely.
"Nonono it's ok" Yoongi insisted. Cause painkillers would just cost him more.
