Pharmacy

As soon as Nikki purchases a pregnancy test from the local pharmacy she heads back to the Lyell, where Jack is waiting for her. She enters the offices of the Lyell and heads to the desks and looks at Jack as she places her handbag down on the desk. 
"You brought it?" Jack smirks watching her, Nikki nods and smiles as she pulls it discreetly out her bag to show Jack.

Jack smiles even more and stands up, "I've got half an hour until my break ends, shall we?" Nikki questions with a smirk. Jack nods and follows Nikki who lifts up her handbag and heads off to the staff toilets. 

He follows Nikki into the empty female toilets and then waits for her while she goes into the toilet cubical, "Jack... I can't pee" Nikki says randomly. 

"Think of something that will make you go!" Jack smirks rolling his eyes at the same time. 

Nikki huffs and tries to focus, "Nope, not working" Nikki replies after seconds of trying.

Jack laughs and thinks of things that will help, "Okay, listen to this... babbling brooks, gushing waterfalls, trickling taps..." Jack continues to say anything that involves water before he hears faint trickling coming from the cubical. 

Nikki places the pregnancy test on the back of the toilet system and then flushes before coming out the cubical with the test in hand. "So?" Jack asks. 

"Jack, we have to wait three minutes..." Nikki says as she walks over to the sinks and washes her hands, Jack peers at the pregnancy test and doesn't take his eyes off it. 

Nikki laughs as she knows Jack can't wait to see the result, "So what if I am?" Nikki questions hoping to pass the time quicker. 

"Well, we'll keep the baby, I'm sure Poppy would love a sibling" Jack smiles as he takes Nikki's hand and strokes it. 

"I mean we could have done this in a better environment, like at home or something" Nikki replies as she looks around the empty female toilets. 

Jack smirks and continues to stroke her hand, "Well this was important, this couldn't have waited" Jack smiles, leaning in for a kiss. 

He kisses Nikki's cheek and Nikki looks back at them in the mirror and smiles at her lover. Soon the three minutes is up and Nikki looks down at the pregnancy test before looking at Jack, "Okay, shall I turn it over?" Nikki questions. Jack nods and holds her waist as he looks over her shoulder, "What if it's negative Jack..." Nikki begins as she starts to think of every outcome possible. 

"Turn the bloody test over Nik, I can't bare the unknown anymore" He replies quickly and kisses her neck.

Nikki reaches down and takes the test in her hand, she can feel her own heart beating faster than normal, it felt like it was about to jump out her chest and run off never to be seen or heard of ever again, Jack strokes her hips reassuringly.

They both hold their breath as Nikki turns over the pregnancy test, with that Nikki closes her eyes and mutters something to herself as she turns over the test. She then reopens her eyes and looks down at the result.
