Later that Day Nikki and Jack have just arrived home with Maddison, Jack carries Maddison in her car seat into the lounge and places her on the coffee table before heading upstairs to grab the Moses basket for Nikki who is sat down on the sofa watching Maddison. 

Jack comes back downstairs and places the Moses basket in the lounge on the floor before Nikki gently lifts Maddison from the car seat and holds her while Jack then moves the car seat and puts the stand-up and rests the Moses basket in it. 

Nikki sways gently with Maddison looking down at her admirning her tiny features and her very obvious dark brown eyes. "I can't stop looking at her Jack, she is perfect" Nikki mumbles and Jack laughs slightly at her contentment with their newborn. 

"Here put her down, I shall go put the kettle on" Jack smiles and walks out to the kitchen and doing a little bit of washing up while the kettle boils, he also puts some clothes in the washer for Nikki as she never got round to washing Poppy's clothes. 

Once he has made the cups of tea he walks back through to the lounge where Nikki is still holding Maddison, "Are you going to put her down?" He chuckles placing the drinks of the placemats. 

"In a minute" She smiles still in a trance with her daughter. 
"Were you like this with Pops?" Jack smirks sitting himself down on the sofa waiting for Nikki so he can cuddle up to her. 

"Yes, yes I was" She coos playfully to Maddison who is starring straight up at her mother. Jack rolls his eyes and continues to watch Nikki with Maddison as she slowly makes her way back round to the Moses basket. 

She cuddles Maddison close and then sets her down carefully in the Moses basket before coming back to Jack and sitting with him, "Do you think it's warm enough in here?" She questions. 
"Yes, stop stressing" Jack smirks and kisses her cheek before placing his arms around her. 
Jack reaches for the TV controls and turns it on before turning the volume down slightly.

They sit there for a while before Connor brings Poppy home, Nikki goes to the door and lets Poppy who is over the moon to see her mother, "Hey princess... thanks Connor, why don't you come in?" Nikki suggests while hugging her three-year-old.

"No, no, you guys need to settle first. Anyway, I have a darts match at the pub" He explains to his soon to be daughter-in-law. 
"Okay, just let Jack know when you want to come over, you're more than welcome" Nikki smiles happily. 

Connor nods and puts his hat back on before walking down the driveway, "Bye-Bye Grandpa! Love you!" Poppy shouts happily as she waves frantically at him. 

Once Connor has gone Nikki shuts the door and helps Poppy take her coat and shoes off, "I have missed you, Mummy!" Poppy smiles. 
"I've missed you too sweetheart" Nikki smiles. 

Poppy stands up once she has removed her shoes and coat and walks into the lounge closely followed by Nikki, she watches the curiosity on Poppy's face as she notices the Moses basket, Poppy slowly walks over to the Moses basket and sees the baby. 

She looks up at Jack and Nikki and then looks back down at Maddison. "What is that doing here!" She frowns. 

Nikki is taken back by Poppy's words and just stares at her, "She's your little sister Pops, she lives here now!" Jack smiles cheerfully, Poppy's bottom lip starts to tremble and she can't hold herself together for very long before she bursts into tears. 

Nikki goes to step forwards before attempting to hug Poppy who dashes past her and frantically climbs the stairs and runs straight to her bedroom, Jack and Nikki look at each before hearing a door slam, "Aaaand she's hit the teen years early" Jack chuckles. 

They both look at each other and rolls their eyes at Poppy's actions before carrying on watching TV, "...Do you think I should go and speak to her?" Nikki questions Jack while reaching for her cup of tea. 

"I'd leave it Niks, she will come round in her own time, and she will get hungry sooner or later" Jack replies placing his hand on Nikki's knee and gives it a reassuring squeeze. 
Nikki sighs and rests against Jack's shoulder watching tv and awaiting Maddison to start crying to be fed.
