No Price on Love

For the past hour, Jack has been searching through the internet while Nikki isn't in the office at the Lyell, everyone so often he keeps looking around to see if Nikki is coming back into the room, "What the hell is wrong with you this morning Jack?" Clarissa speaks up after getting rather annoyed with Jack jumping every time the door opens.

"Just keep an eye out and make sure to tell me if Nikki is coming back into the room" Jack replies as he continues to search through the internet and write down random prices.

"What are you looking at?" Clarissa questions but gets no reply from Jack so she decides to come and look for herself, she is preying as she moves across the office floor to Jack's desk that is isn't anything sexualized.

Jack looks at Clarissa and smiles slightly before returning his gaze to the computer screen, Clarissa sits forwards and looks at the page he has open, she sees a variety of white gold rings varying in price, she feels her throat dry up as she knows exactly what he is planning. "Bloody hell, how you going to pay for these? sell both your kidneys?" Clarissa chuckles.

"She's worth the money any way you can't put a price on love, as a friend I'm a trusting you to keep this a secret," Jack says looking at his friend who he knew was the best at keeping secrets.

"My lips are sealed, so when are you planning on doing this?" She questions with a smile as Jack continues to look through multiple websites that sold white gold engagement rings.
Jack looks at his calendar and smiles, "Well soon possibly, I just want to get her on a good day. She's turned my proposal down multiple times" Jack explains.

Clarissa nods and rolls her eyes, "Probably because you didn't have a ring... you need to wow Nikki with some gold and a nice big rock" Clarissa replies and Jack makes a noise and nods.

"This is the one I love, it comes with an inscription too. But I want to get the proposal done soon as I have the eternity band for Nikki, obviously, I should have given it her two years ago, but the time never felt right... but now it does and with the second on its... ahh, shit, I shouldn't have said that" Jack says cutting himself off.

"Second?" Clarissa questions raising an eyebrow.
"Shit, Nikki is going to kill me" Jack replies awkwardly hoping the ground will swallow him up entirely.

"Please do continue Jack?" Clarissa smiles.
"It's early days okay?...  Nikki is around 5 weeks" Jack replies smiling to himself.
"Five weeks, what?" She questions.
"She's five weeks pregnant..." Jack replies with a smile again. Clarissa goes silent for a moment before a smile breaks on her face, "Please... don't tell Nikki, she will kill me. We wanted to wait until the scan before we told anyone" Jack says.

"Don't worry your secret is safe with me" Clarissa chuckles merrily as she starts to piece little things she had noticed about Nikki together recently.

Soon Nikki walks back into the offices with a box file full of paperwork, Jack quickly removes the page from his computer and smiles at Nikki, "You okay?" Jack asks with a smile.

"I'm fine" Nikki smiles as she sits herself down at her desk and starts to look through the piles of paperwork that are slowly mounding on her desk.
Jack looks across at Clarissa and smiles as they both return back to what they were doing earlier.
