We rush back to my house after the embarrassing incident. Jenna tells me it's a pool party and grabs my black bottoms and navy blue top along with a red crop top and jean shorts. She throws my hair up into a messy bun and wipes away the tears that have secretly fallen.

"It's okay. She isn't worth your tears. You look stunning as always. I just need to do your make up and you'll be all good."

After she's done I look in the mirror and what she did was simple. She made the redness go away and applied some mascara. I head downstairs and throw on my Birkenstock's and wait for Jenna to finish getting ready. She already had her swim suit on under neath she just wanted to fix a couple things. We head out into her Jeep and make our way to the party.

We arrive and there are red cups everywhere and the music is pumping and it feels like the earth is shaking because it's so loud. Jenna looks at me and smiles and my confidence just soared. I am at a party with my best friend, looking good, feeling good, everything's good.

We find the boys in the kitchen laughing at some joke, Jenna hands me a cup that looks like lemonade but you never know. We start dancing and I'm letting everything go, it could be the lemonade but that okay because I feel great. My hips are swaying to the beat of the music and my heart is pumping. I tell Jenna that I'm gonna head to the bathroom. On the way I run into the one and only.

"I thought the slushy sent the message but I guess not."

Jessica.

"Because, yet you are here. I am shocked that a shy girl like you had the courage to come back out of her hiding place. Are you really that dumb, that you couldn't get the memo. I told you that you would get hurt, and look where we are. Everyone is watching you. Now go home Bella."

I feel Jenna behind me.

"C'mon Bella, let's go out back because the bitch is wasting all the fresh air."

We go to the pool and jump in and start playing pool volleyball with Sean and Nick. Nick gets out of the pool to go get a drink, as do the rest of us. Jenna and I stay back sitting on the ledge.

"You are gonna kick ass at gymnastics try outs. If anything Jessica is afraid that she will lose her spot as team captain, to you."

"Thanks, but with her there I will be lucky to get a place on the team."

"I'll be there. Me and you travel in a pair. If they don't want you they can't have me either. I promise."

"Thanks, for everything."

"Anytime. Listen, why don't we head back and go watch movies in your backyard."

We get out and something, well someone, catches my eye. Nick and Jessica are making out in the corner. She sees me and smirks against his lips causing him to stop.

"I told you, diner girl, you were gonna get hurt."

"Nick, I trusted you, as a friend. But, I made the biggest mistake of believing you."

I can't read his expression, but why do I care. He betrayed me. Wait, why do I care? Why am I hurt by this? Nope, not true. I am not developing feelings for Nick. Never.

Jenna, Sean and I head back to the house. I take a quick shower and see Jenna popping popcorn while Sean is taking out the ice cream. Sean sees me on the stairs.

"Just because your night may or may not be going terrible doesn't mean that we can't still enjoy ourselves. I set up the sheet and the tent outstide. We were gonna watch a movie and sit in the tent with a bunch of blankets. Like we used to when we were kids. I know you loved every minute of it. You can join."

"Yeah I think I will."

We stayed up all night watching movies under the stars. The perfect way to end a not so perfect night. Today was rough, but the question is... what will tomorrow bring?
