Weeks go by and I still haven't accepted the scholarship yet. What am I waiting for? How will I tell my mother and my brother? Competitions are going great and when the boys don't have training they come to watch us compete.
***Months later***
Other universities want me but they aren't willing enough to give me a full ride, I can't afford that much. Sometimes I have to dig my mail out of the trash because mom doesn't want me to see what the colleges are offering me. She thinks they're all fake and that I am forging my own mail. Daryl has been coming and going, he's been raking in so much money it's insane. Mom is trying to get him to sober up, but that won't make me forget what he did to me the first few days he was here.
I'm too afraid to call them back, what if they don't want me anymore? What will I do then? Stay home with my mess of a mother and her boyfriend and work at a diner? Screw it.
"Hello?"
"Hi. This is Bella Winfrey."
"Yes I am hoping that you are calling to take us up on our offer or am I wrong?"
"I fully accept the scholarship, thank you."
"We can't wait to see you in the fall."
Jenna, Brittany and I have been going shopping for our graduation dresses and our party dresses, but we can't seem to decide. The day drags on and we can't wait to discuss our plan with the guys at lunch.
Jenna stands up directing all of our attention to her.
"Since all of us have become such great friends and some of us more than friends."
She sends a not so subtle wink to Sean and looks at Matthew and Brittany.
"We should have a combined graduation party, you know since our parents are already pretty close considering us being involved in similar sports and all, it would be an easy arrangement. I already discussed this with everyone's parents and they agreed. It will be right after graduation at Matthew's house!"
Nick has this huge grin on his face along with everyone else.
"And then let summer begin!"
Things have been really weird between Nick and I, we haven't talked about the kiss or what happened at Winter Formal. Jessica hasn't done anything extreme in a while, I guess she realized that nothing was happening between Nick and I.
Jenna picked out my dress, she chose a nude colored dress with tiny flowers on the top part. It was beautiful but I thought it was a little weird on how it was specifically for the party.
Graduation
Today was the day that I wouldn't have to live here any more, I would stay for summer and break the news and leave. I was hoping dad would come, but then who knows what would've happened between him and mom. I put in enough hours at the diner to make enough money to pay for my flight and baggage to California, I would be staying with dad since he lives so close to campus. I just had to keep my secret through this party and then worry about making it through summer.
