"so, let's discuss money matters," jongin said once they had situated everything at their meeting place, junmyeon's bakery."right, yeah," yixing said, pulling out some rough drafts he had made during breaks at school. he had everything down to a science.
"when did you have time for all of this?" jongin laughed slightly, "you just barely thought of this."
"yeah, well, i act on things quickly," yixing joked, letting jongin scan over the pages, "as you can see, you and i would be getting equal profits."
"yeah. everything would vary on how well the company does," jongin said, "what about the idols?"
"next page," yixing said.
"idols and models would be getting 50% of the money, the rest going to the company and its owners, you and i," jongin read, "wow, fifty percent? most idols don't even make ten."
"yeah, well, i figured it's only fair. people like groups, not companies," yixing said, "and they'd be working just as hard as we."
"oh, i don't an issue with it," jongin said quickly, "was only commenting. i agree with you on it, actually. i came here ready to argue that idols should get the same amount that we make off of them, but it seems you already think so."
"oh, great. i was worried you were gonna think that 50% was too much," yixing sighed in relief, "i'm happy you agree. so, you'd be in charge of scouting for idols and raising their popularity, i'd be in charge of money matters."
"right, but you would tell me if there was a big money decision, right?" jongin asked.
"yeah, definitely. we're friends. plus we'd be business partners, and i plan on putting that in the contract," yixing said, "but you do know that at first, its gonna be really rocky, right?"
"yeah. we'd be starting without any help, right from scratch. of course money and talent is gonna be an issue primarily," jongin nodded, "the question would be if we're willing to put our time and money at stake like that."
"well, i know i am. it would be up to you," yixing sighed, "if this were to work out, jongin, i'd need your full attention to it."
"of course," jongin said, "would there be any way for this company to also cover models?"
"yeah, i could work that in," yixing nodded, looking through the papers and adding models to the mix, "could i ask why?"
"i got this friend, baekhyun. he really wants to be a model, but it's hard to get noticed in the area we live in," jongin said.
"byun baekhyun?" yixing asked, surprised, "i'm good friends with him. i was actually thinking of having him as a singer, if he agreed."
"oh, he sings?"
"has a great voice. that's actually what i was about to discuss with you. you see, i made friends with this other girl as well as baekhyun. i think their voices are great, but i wanted to have you look at them to see if you agree since the talent would be your forte," yixing said. jongin nodded.
"yeah, that works. give me the girl's name and i'll look into her and baekhyun," jongin smiled, "glad to have somewhere to start."
"cool. it's lee jieun. so, i'll type up a contract and such over the next week. i'll send you it through your email and if you agree, we could have it become legally validated," yixing said, standing up from his seat. jongin followed suit, shaking yixing's hand.
"you know, i was really excited when you mentioned this to me," jongin said, "i was worried about what i was to do after college. can i ask what made you suddenly come up with this idea?"
