weeks passed by quietly. at any event junmyeon went to, he didn't look at yixing, didn't bump into yixing, and basically acted as if the two had never met in their lives. it hurt, but it only reinstated what yixing already knew: it was over.and today was a good day. it was christmas. which meant, junmyeon could finally show his son what he had been working on. the restaurant was ready, furnished, and in the top ten restaurants lists even though no one had eaten in it yet. he knew people would be dying to get in for christmas, but he tried not to let stress get to him. he didn't make it for anyone other than his son.
"momma, do i have to dress fancy at the restaurant we're going to?" anson asked, ready to complain how he didn't want to.
"nope," his mom surprisingly said, "wear what you want, baby."
"okay, cool!" anson exclaimed happily, running his room. sehun trailed after him, mumbling about how anson would go in a raggedy t-shirt and worn out jeans if he let him dress himself.
junmyeon hummed to himself, fixing his watch onto his wrist. he was ready, all family members and close friends promising to meet him there at six, when the restaurant would officially be open the public.
"momma i'm ready!" anson shouted, running back into junmyeon's room. anson was wearing a yellow and black flannel over a white undershirt and some skinny jeans, vans high tops giving him a little bit of extra height. he looked handsome.
"okay, let's go pick up jaeminnie," junmyeon smiled at his son. sehun was fixing his hair with a comb.
"do i look alright?" sehun asked. he was dressed casually, but still chic. junmyeon nodded, giving him a thumbs up.
"great. i'll drive," sehun said.
"are you sure you're alright not spending christmas with luhan?" junmyeon asked. sehun shook his head.
"no, we did presents and stuff yesterday," sehun shrugged, "besides, he's spending it with his brother."
junmyeon nodded, "alright, let's go, then."
and so they left the house, making a stop at jaemin's house to pick up anson's best friend before driving to the restaurant.
"woah," jaemin and anson said in unison as they stared at the restaurant, a line wrapping around it.
"do you like it?" junmyeon asked anson nervously. anson grinned at his mom, reading the giant sign. anson's.
"that's so cool! i have a restaurant named after me!" anson exclaimed, jumping up and down excitedly, "can we go inside now?"
"yep," junmyeon said, feeling much more relieved now that he knew that anson liked the present.
"ha, some people get their kids phones for christmas. you got your kid a restaurant," sehun mumbled, all of them walking past the line and into the restaurant. they were the first people in except for those junmyeon invited, his parents, sisters, and friends. they all sat at a large table in the center of the restaurant.
"can we start letting them in?" anson asked. junmyeon nodded, giving the signal to the waitering team he had hired. they opened the doors, people spilling in. it was a very large restaurant, with lots of places for people to be seated. but some people still didn't fit, and so there was a wait for the people further in the line.
"this is so cool," anson said, everyone laughing and talking together. junmyeon heard, pressing a kiss to anson's forehead and ruffling his hair. sehun automatically reached over jaemin and fixed it, winking at anson.
"you like it then, baby?" junmyeon asked anson.
"i love it! it's so pretty!" anson exclaimed, family members cooing at the cuteness, "thanks, mommy! i love you!"
