yixing held both kids hands as he walked them to school, sharing stories of when he was in high school and on the football team.

"if anyone bugs you, just walk away from them," yixing said, "they're not worth your time, okay, kiddos?"

"mhmm," anson smiled, "but what if they try to fight me?"

"do you know how to fight?" yixing asked him.

"yeah, annie's so cool! he's in hapkido, boxing, and taekwondo!" jaemin exclaimed proudly. yixing smiled at the small kid. it didn't take long for him to piece together that jaemin was crushing pretty hard on anson.

"that is pretty cool," yixing smiled, "you know, i'm a blackbelt in taekwondo and i was in boxing for seven years?"

"yeah, uncle hunnie told me he put me in both because my dad was in them!" anson smiled happily, the three reaching the school around fifteen minutes late.

"you'll have to walk us into class and explain to the teacher why we were late," anson said, "our principal is pretty chill but our teacher is kind of strict about punctuality."

"front office first, then?" yixing asked, the two five year olds leading him to it. yixing opened the door for the both of them. he smiled charmingly at the front office ladies.

"hello, i'm signing in park jaemin and zhang anson," yixing said. the front office lady gaped at him, slowly pushing the sign in sheet to him.

"you're zhang yixing," she said, in awe, "could i get an autograph?"

"oh, sure," yixing said, taking the pen and piece of paper from her, "who can i make this out to?"

"oh! mira!" the front office lady said. yixing did a double take, looking closer to her. she wasn't a teenager anymore.

"mira?" yixing asked. she grinned.

"oh, you remember!" mira smiled, "i was like, one of your first fans! we met at the theater!"

"yeah, i remember," yixing laughed, happy to see her, "how have you been?"

"great! i'm the principal's assistant, not to be confused with the assistant principal," mira joked, "i'll let him know that anson and jaemin were late."

"great, thank you so much," yixing smiled, bowing, "it was great seeing you again, but i need to get them to class."

"sure! goodbye!" mira said happily, "we hope to see you at the open house today!"

"absolutely, i'll be there," yixing nodded, leaving the front office with the two kids, "alright, kiddos, where is your classroom?"

"across the school," anson said, not questioning his dad on mira because of course he had a bunch of fans, "will you come for lunch?"

"sure, when is it?" yixing asked.

"two hours from now," jaemin answered, holding back onto yixing's hand. anson did the same with the other one.

"yeah, i'll come back, but i have a quick meeting right before that so i'll show up in a suit, is that alright?" yixing asked.

"yep!" anson nodded, "that's fine. just don't be late."

"i won't, promise," yixing nodded, walking them to their classroom. eventually they were there.

"alright, do i knock or...?" yixing asked.

"you can just walk in," anson whispered to yixing, quiet since there were other classrooms trying to focus.

"okay," yixing said, letting go of jaemin's hand and opening the door. everyone turned to them.
