"Wake up snuggle bug." I rubbed her back.We had fallen asleep on the couch watching movies last night. She was knocked out cold. A heavy sleeper like her daddy.
"Wake up little girl." I shook her, she rolled over rubbing her eyes.
"Good morning sleepy head."
"Goodmorning" She reached up for a hug.
" I wore you out yesterday huh? It's 12:30 in the afternoon and you just now waking up."
"I was sleepy."
"I see that. Come on, let's go get washed up before daddy comes." She hopped off the couch and followed me to the bathroom.
"What's this?" She had pulled something out of my cabinet as I ran her bath water. I froze once I saw what it was. This mf done pulled out my pads.
"Are these diapers?" Yep, put em back.
"Yes"
"Why do you have diapers?"
"Just in case I have to babysit."
"Oh..." She put them back.
"Come on, take your pajamas off."
Once she was washed up and dressed, I took her back downstairs.
"You hungry munchkin?" She nodded. I took some fruit out the fridge and started cutting it up.
"You had a lot of sweets yesterday so you're eating fruit today." She rolled her eyes.
"I saw that. You either eat the fruit or go hungry.
"I'll take the fruit." I nodded.
"That's what I thought."
"Hazel... can you be my second mommy?" I stopped what I was doing and looked at her.
"Nooo, you already have a mommy. You don't need two. Besides, I'm your bestie."
"Oh yeah.."
"Bestie forever, right?" I asked, extending my pinky to her. She wrapped hers around it. I kissed it.
"I think daddy's here." I said as I heard my doorbell ring. I went to answer it, before I could speak Ro ran in front of me and hugged his leg.
"Daddy!" He picked her up and attacked her cheek with kisses.
"Did you miss me?" She nodded. "Did you have fun with Hazel?" She nodded again.
"What y'all did?"
"We got frozen yogurt and we went to sky zone and we had a picnic in the park and we played. OH! We made brownies and cookies."
