"This is mine, all mine
You know I can give you life."~
•Hazel"Wait, what else goes in the bag?" I asked my mama over the phone as I packed my hospital bag.
"Girl you annoying! You about to be a mom yourself and you still calling yours about every little thing."
"Bye mama." I hung up. Karen's attitude isn't very nice today.
"Yes, my sweet baby Hazel?" Mama J answered, making me smile.
"Hey my sweet second mommy. How you doing?"
"Good, how are you? Sariyah giving you trouble?" I sighed.
"When is she not?" She chuckled.
"About two more months sweetie, you can do it."
"I'm bout to freak out mama."
"I know baby, I feel you. Where's Chris?"
"In the shower."
"Y'all about to go out?"
"Yes ma'am. You know me, I gotta go get something to eat."
"You stay eating, girl." I laughed.
"I stay hungry."
"I can tell. Did you need something baby?"
"I was packing my hospital bag and I was just making sure I had everything I needed."
"What do you already have?"
"Pads, spandex tights, socks, panties, shirts, a toothbrush and all that hygienic stuff."
"Do you have a nursing bra?" I looked through my bag.
"Yes ma'am."
"You're bottle feeding her from birth, right?"
"Yeah I think so."
"Okay put her bottles in there and you'll have to take her car seat. Other than that, you seem prepared." I took a sigh of relief.
"Okay, thank you."
"You're welcome sweetie. You ready?"
"Ready for what?" I turned around, seeing Chris walk out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. I looked him up and down slowly, taking in every beautiful feature.
"To fuck" I mumbled
"What?"
"Nothing." I said, turning my eyes away from Chris before he ended up inducing me ten weeks early.
"Hey mama."
"Hey baby."
"Hazel come on, let me do your bun right quick."
"Aww, he helps you do your hair?"
"Yes, he's a cosmetologist on the low."
"Wow, who knew?" I laughed.
"Girl sit your ass down or I ain't gone help you do shit."
"Chris! Watch how you talk to her!"
"You should hear how she talk to me!"
"I don't talk to you no kinda way bitch, shut up."
